Was upgraded to a suite, with a breathtaking view of Las Vegas, especially at night!
Nothing!
Amazing hotel and staff. Nothing too much trouble.
We loved our stay at the Reserve. We usually call the Cosmo and Aria home, but decided to stay here on this trip. The hotel has its own separate entrance and lobby from Park MGM, giving it a much more exclusive feel. The decor is moody and sophisticated, with a cozy library-like atmosphere that immediately feels calming.
We arrived on the earliest flight and got to the hotel around 7:00 a.m. Knowing it was far too early for check-in, we stopped by the front desk just to see if there was any chance a room might be available. The staff was incredibly welcoming and explained that they were fully booked, but they kindly gave us a food credit while we waited. It was a thoughtful gesture that they certainly didn't have to offer.
We later got a text that our room was ready. It was so clean, had a Nespresso machine and wood floors. Vegas is very over stimulating and the hotel and room are very calm and helped us decompress.
The staff are all very welcoming and kind. The level of hospitality was a huge contrast to what our family experienced while staying at Paris/Horseshoe, where they felt more like a nuisance than a guest during check-in.
We would absolutely stay at the Reserve again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a elevated, smoke-free, more relaxing Vegas experience.
The good news is that our room was attractively decorated in an antique style, comfortable and quiet,
However I was expecting that The Reserve as an overall concept , being the higher end section of ParkMGM, would be quieter, more polished and sophisticated than the rest of the hotel. It was not! When we arrived the darkened lobby and luxe furnishings looked the part. However the pop music soundtrack was as noisy, if not noisier, than the Park lobby. With the background din, we then had problems at reception when our room - which had been booked months earlier - was not ready at the advertised 3pm. After a complaint from us, and 3 staff members consulting their computers and appearing rather unprofessional, our room was eventually assigned at 3:20 pm To be fair, we were given a $ 100 credit as compensation but it was not a good beginning.
The other noisy area was at The Reserve’s pool, separate from the ParkMGM pool area, and open only limited days of the week. We did not find the area at all tranquil with its loud rock music soundtrack. What’s more, there were a small number of umbrellas providing limited shade by the edge of the pool, but any decent shade from gazebos and the like cost extra - up to over US$ 300 - to reserve. We actually found the ParkMGM pool area more pleasant and with no extra charges.
To sum up, we were happy with our room but disappointed with the overall vibe of the Hotel.
We were returning to Vegas for a special anniversary so decided on The Reserve at Park MGM. There is a lot of good to be said about this hotel. To be clear, the Reserve is the top 4 floors of the actual hotel, has its own reception etc. We arrived very late due to flight delays, parked up easily (not cheap to park!) and was checked in smoothly, no upgrades available sadly as hotel was full. Rooms are a good size, not a huge amount of storage - this differs from room to room as well, some having no draw space at all. Our travelling companions woke up to find someone else's left behind underwear in a drawer which wasn't great - it hadn't been sorted when we got back from a day out - some credit applied to the room and housekeeping very apologetic but the communication seemed to have broken down a bit. I did use the spa for the day, it's small but lovely and quiet and supper relaxing, nice little extras in there so worth a visit. We used the Reserve only pool, which was great - peaceful, plenty of beds and great attentive staff, the food was great and they went out of their way to make sure we got what we needed. We were sent a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate our anniversary which was a nice touch.
I can see people have complained about the other all theming but I really liked it, nice toiletries etc. sadly our room wasn't cleaned on one of the days of stay. It's great to have eataly on site and the hotel is in a good location connected by the monorail. All in all it's lovely, would have been a 5 star stay if not for the few hiccups.
The location and the rooms.
Only one staff manning the reception.
Two of my very dear friends got married in Vegas and we stayed here. An absolutely stunning hotel and in a great location on the strip.
