Bad soundproofing
Pros:

Location is close to the central station.

Cons:

The soundproofing is so poor. I can hear people who sleep next door snoring at night.
When people in other rooms close their doors, I can feel the bed and the wall shaking.
The standard room is really small. No kettle and no mini fridge.

Disappointing.
Pros:

Great location, but that’s where the positives end.

Discovered at reception that I had accidentally made a double booking. My mistake, but the response was astonishingly unhelpful. At one point I was told, “we don’t live in a humane world” a remarkable thing to hear from a hospitality business.

The room smelled like something was baking 24/7 and was noisy enough to make sleep a challenge.

Mistakes happen. Bad service doesn’t have to. A little empathy and a willingness to help would have gone a long way.
