Excellent service, thoughtful hospitality, and a comfortable stay
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it. The staff were exceptionally helpful and went above and beyond to make our trip comfortable and stress-free.

As international travelers, we did not have a local phone number in China, but the staff kindly helped us arrange transportation whenever needed. They also assisted with having our clothes dry-cleaned and were always ready to help with any inconvenience or request throughout our stay.

We were traveling with a toddler, and the team was incredibly accommodating of our special requests, which made a huge difference for our family. Their kindness, patience, and attention to detail truly reflected outstanding hospitality.

We greatly appreciated all the care and support we received during our stay. Thanks to the wonderful staff, we had a fantastic time in Shanghai and felt genuinely welcomed from start to finish. We would be happy to stay here again in the future.

Cons:

The only minor area for improvement would be the lighting in the guest room. As someone who works in design and hospitality, I noticed that the room featured several different lighting color temperatures, which made the overall lighting feel somewhat inconsistent.

In particular, the bedside reading lights felt cooler than expected. In many hotels, reading lights are typically around 2700K, which creates a warmer and more relaxing residential atmosphere. It may be worth reviewing the lighting specification and consistency throughout the room.

This is a very small observation and did not impact our overall experience. Other than that, everything was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Hostel, not a hotel
Pros:

Location is a definite plus, also good food.

Cons:

Level of service and amenities is of a hostel, not really a hotel. Staff barely speaks English, breakfast starts at 8am, kind of late if you plan early starts of the day. Rooms have charm but are really not sound-proofed well, we woke up multiple times hearing people above and outside. Bathrooms don’t have doors.

Местоположение прекрасное, собственная комната, довольно своеобразная, но все таки своя и внутри довольно удобно. Тихо, мне понравилось, можно выспаться. 3 общие душевые, всегда доступны.

Cons:

Wi-fi у меня работал плохо, очень нужно было для работы. Поэтому я купила e-sim и решила проблему

Facilities were clean and staff was exceptionally friendly
Room layout is pretty cool and gives a nice flair.
Didn’t try breakfast but stayed in the restaurant area in the evenings which was quite nice. Mattress was firm and WiFi worked well (with VPN)

Cons:

Even though it’s advertised as “The bund” expect location to be a bit far from major attractions. Roughly 30min (15min walk to metro, 15min metro ride) to Nanjing road
Walls can be a little thin if you are sensible for that kind of thing

Budget stay excellent staff and value for money
Pros:

Everything’s was included and cleaning to high standard. It was a but far from the centre but that is not their fault .

Pros:

Nagyon hangulatos szobák, nagyon kényelmes ágyak. Jól felszerelt szobák, a recepciós hölgy pedig szuper segítőkész volt.

Cons:

Nem volt a fürdőszobán ajtó/nem sikerült megtalálni s mivel az ikerbáttyámmal utaztam, kicsit mókás volt.
