It’s nice and quiet the grounds are nice but there is a lot of wear and tear. Looks like someone doesn’t want to spend money on upkeep.
Looks like a lot of things are in disrepair. It’s still nice but it could be so much nicer looking and unique, like the tennis court without a net etc.
An oldie but still a goody!!.. The resort is showing it's age but still a worthy stop-over in the Columbia valley. The resort is very comfortable ~ a nice alternative to one of the many leftover, sterile Condos scattered throughout the Fairmont area.
Surprisingly, we found their 'Bears Paw' offerings both tasty and reasonably priced... a rarity in the travel industry lately!
Chairs on our balcony required cushioning... we used our pillows! Didn't find the Hotsprings as warm/hot as we expected/wanted.
Clean hotel with friendly staff. Great location and loved the extra time available to guests at the hot springs
Rooms are badly in need of an update. The decor is mid 1980's
Visiting from Ontario to celebrate my best friend getting married. Booked and paid full online. Was contacted that my room would be changed and have multiple emails confirming reservation and room change price. When arriving at check-in desk, was told I could not be helped by staff and a supervisor had to come sort out what to do. I was moved to a villa and was charged again for the villa. Upon checkout, I spoke with 2 staff members on why I was charged for both the room and the villa and they said refunds were to be sent out. I was then told they would contact me that day to confirm and have still yet to be contacted (3 days later). Hoping this will help get staff to reach out and fix their mistakes.
Location
It’s definitely outdated. Restaurants were closed a night and only pub available for supper. Hour and half waiting time
We booked a massage for me and my wife. I booked a deep tissue session for me and a relaxation session for my wife. Jennifer was amazing. She was very proficient at both types of massage. She has an ability to feel and alleviate stress points in your body. The massage comes with a complimentary pass to the hot springs on site. After the spa and hot spring visit we had a very nice supper at the restaurant in the hotel. All in all a very enjoyable day.
We enjoyed the hot spring pool. It was great that we were able to use the pool with a pool pass even after we checked out.
Location is good
With hot spring pool
Too old renovations needs to up date
Pillow should be through away not good for use any more
This place is clearly past its prime. The rooms are dumpy and old and way overpriced for what you get. Mother's day breakfast buffet was $600.00 for 6 seniors, 2 adults and a child. expensive and very mediocre. Long weekend coming up and the pool is closed for maintenance. I remember 15 years ago when this place was upper class, it's on motel 6 level now......sad really.
You don’t get it, you are fools, and you are now in receivership
Decent size room, clean and many amenities on site, including access to the hot pools.
Privante guests hot pool was closed for maintenance, and so were the indoor soak pools. Outdoor hot pool broke down the morning of our stay :(
I love this place; I come here often.
We have been coming to Fairmont Hot Springs Resort for many years now, usually in the Spring to celebrate our anniversary or my husband’s birthday. Every year the place gets a little more run down. Some examples…broken tiles and concrete in and around the guest pool, steam room out of order, no USB plug ins in the rooms, ripped shower curtains, stained lampshades and curtains, wall sockets that fall out when you plug something in, cracked and chipped coffee mugs, old carpets, etc. We had no soap in the bathroom and no water bottles in the fridge.
The grounds are very beautiful and well kept. However, we did not appreciate the groundskeepers mowing the lawn at 7am-11am. It spoiled our peaceful relaxation time. The next morning, while we were enjoying our quiet time in the guest pool, the groundskeepers pulled up next to the pool in their golf cart and started throwing rocks into the back of their cart…again disrupting our peaceful morning. I suggest these loud activities be done after 11am. We want to enjoy the quiet morning listening to the sounds of nature, not the banging of boulders into a metal cart or louder lawn mowers.
On my husband’s 65th birthday, we went to get our breakfast (which was included in our package) and they said the kitchen was down…no power. Disappointing. All they could offer us was yogurt, muffins and fruit. We declined and the front desk did reimbursed us $50.
The price to stay at this resort (in the condition it’s in) is a bit off putting. Hopefully the owners are planning to do some improvements and not run it into the ground. That would be a real shame.
Great location, relaxing atmosphere, ok rooms but overpriced, extra fees charged which is equivalent to pool fees. The resort is old and looking tired, maintenance is needed on all wooden parts. Some pf the doors and furniture a little rough around the edges. Noisy neighbors after hours, not soundproof. Plunge pools and steam room out of service. Reception staff amazing.
It is the best location, close to pools
Dirty rooms
