I would like to specially mention an experience here, we had to leave on 9 th aug, and as we had no idea about the local traditions , festivals etc we were ready to leave by 11 am to Dehradun airport. However , the cab we ordered cancelled due to the Kawar festival and we were stuck. A very loud shout out Mr Yajvender Negi (Manager ) who tried arranging another vehicle for us, however that too failed to get through the crowds and reach us. He then personally transported three of us on his bike , along with the bell boy Sonu who borrowed someone’s scooter and transported us . They also arranged a friend to come and pick the last of us on another bike. The two wheelers also could travel only up to a point, after which both of them lugged our luggage and took us about 3 km on foot to the point where the vehicle was waiting. They made sure we were in the vehicle and reached the airport just in time. It was beyond their duty , which demanded a very special mention. Thanks again to Mr Yajvender and Mr Sonu, who waited till we were on our way safely.

Pros:

Location of the hotel and courtesy of the staff. Food was good. View of Maa Ganga was good from the 2nd-floor room where we stayed.

Cons:

Consider installing a lift, as many guests are elderly with restricted mobility.
The Path to the restaurant could be covered for safe transit during rains.

Ótima localização para quem quer ficar de frente ao Ganges, excelente atendimento

Cons:

O barulho da rua chega no quarto, pedi para não limpar o quarto e entraram mesmo assim, e ainda apertam a campainha que é extremamente barulhenta e nos acordaram.

Pros:

The proximity to Shatrughan Ghat (the place of Ganga aarti) was amazing. The view from the balcony of the ganga makes this place the best place to be in Rishikesh. Food was also lovely. The reception staff is very helpful and truly bring the ethos of "athithi devo bhavah" to life.
