Spacious room
Inadequate amount of towels and bedding for room size; front desk initially said our room wasn’t ready at 4pm; no sausage or waffles at breakfast and subpar coffee
The security and cleanliness
None
Clean decent room
Wasn’t as close to downtown Nashville as we would have liked
Clean and spacious room, helpful and accommodating staff.
The pool is much smaller than the online picture depicts.
If you're looking for the authentic CMA Fest experience, the Hyatt Vanderbilt Nashville has you covered. For the bargain price of only $425 a night, you can enjoy a very basic hotel experience with just enough cleanliness to keep your immune system guessing.
The breakfast area was a particular highlight. The waffle syrup station featured a sticky, gooey substance that appeared to have survived several previous breakfast services untouched. It really added an element of mystery to the meal.
The pool area has a charming "seen better days" aesthetic, made even more exciting by what appeared to be a complete lack of security enforcement. Watching people openly doing drugs by the pool certainly wasn't listed among the amenities, but apparently it's included at no extra charge.
Special mention goes to the individual in the Sports Illustrated shirt waiting near the front desk, eager to lure guests into a timeshare presentation under less-than-transparent circumstances. Relocating that operation somewhere less intrusive would greatly improve the guest experience.
On the bright side, the hotel is well located. A pleasant 45-minute walk gets you to Broadway and all the fun Nashville has to offer. In the end, the city was fantastic. The hotel? Let's just say CMA Fest deserved a better opening act.
Location
The cost was more then advertised
I have stayed at this property many times. Its in a great area, with easy walking distance to many restaurants. Easy to get to my office downtown on Church Street. Great staff. Check in is FAST. Great breakfast with hot items and multiple fresh fruits. Its very secure with keyed elevator access at night. Parking is a separate charge but no worse than other places in the area (About $46 dollars with taxes and fees per night in parking deck located in the hotel building)
All of it
Nothing
Breakfast was good and hotel gym facility also very clean and spacious.
We booked this hotel based on location and swimming pool- however the one mile walk to broadway was filled with construction and you had to cross a highway and train track. Regarding the pool, hotel said it was closed for the season but it was closed due to maintenance, this should have been advertised and mentioned before/during booking as we would’ve not stayed if we knew this about the pool. A simple line or email letting us know this beforehand would’ve been very helpful. (POOL IS CLOSED FOR SEASON) as all mention of the pool online and on website said the pool was open it was only when we arrived at the hotel we were told it is closed.
So close to Vandy - Beautiful property and the service was awesome!
I wish the pool had been open!
Location was perfect and it was very clean.
Could not check in on time because technology was down, had to wait till almost 7:00 to get in our room. Also no where was it listed that the pool was out when we booked it. Was going to celebrate our son’s 10th birthday and all he wanted was to be able to swim.
It was clean, nice, and close to Broadway. The breakfast was decent as well.
The pool is out of service for the season. I booked this place for the pool access. I was very disappointed. This was part of our weekend plans.
Good room nice staff
Pool was closed even though seemed to be in season. Across the road pool was open . Shop was very expensive
This was one of the worst hotel stays I have ever experienced.
We stayed here this past weekend, and the entire stay was a nightmare from start to finish. The most serious issue was that my wife stepped on a nail coming through the carpet in our room. That is completely unacceptable and honestly dangerous. A hotel room should be safe, especially when families and children are staying there.
On top of that, the hotel advertises a pool, but there is no pool. That is false advertising and extremely frustrating when you book expecting certain amenities.
The staff made everything worse. They were rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. My son’s medicine was placed in their freezer, and somehow they lost it. Instead of taking responsibility or helping us solve the problem, their attitude was basically, “sucks for you.” That is disgusting customer service, especially when it involves a child’s medication.
Between the unsafe room, false advertising, rude staff, and total lack of accountability, I would never stay here again. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. Run
Everything was good!
