Yet another 'boutique' style hotel that is a pseudonym for unmanaged and unloved.
Pros:

I liked the location and area. The final room we ended up with was not bad, but for a while it didnt look like we were going to get any alternative room after rejecting the room selected for us.

Cons:

The top floor room was like an oven on arrival, and we couldnt open any windows. Even the bathroom which had 3 non-opening windows. We telephoned the manager who informed us that the windows opened, but you will see from the photos they have been shut for years and are filthy. How you ever air a room after guests have stayed I just have no idea. It was obvious that the manager had never visited the hotel, but was telling me all about it whilst I was there! I could hear a man in the background saying ''put the phone down'. After persuasion we were offered another room on the first floor and were promised the windows open. We couldnt see it first and were told 4 times that it would cost more. This seemed to be the main consideration. I agreed and we moved down a floor. The room was acceptable but the opening window was blocked by a huge bath, so extremely awkward to open it the permitted 6 inches! . Very surprised to see another £30.00 taken from my card

Pros:

Everything aside the bathroom. Wasn't happy with the disabled like set up. Was expecting a modern approach as the bedroom was beautiful.

Pros:

Good location, nice room and all clean and tidy

Cons:

Unfortunately the people or person in room 27 directly opposite our room had the tv volume excessively high and this started again around 6:30am on Saturday morning.

Amazing bath
Pros:

The room itself was gorgeous. There was a lovely double bed and the bath is really the selling point of the room. The facilities (mini fridge, kettle, tea and coffee station) was lovely.

Cons:

We had a couple of issues with the overall cleanliness of the place. There was a plant that had mould in, there was a plaster on the roof covering something up, and there was a dried up soap mark/stain in the shower.
I am currently waiting for an email response to our complaint regarding the issues above.

I believe what would improve the property, especially the room we stayed in (14) is that there be a film over the doors to exit as they go straight into the room and the only privacy is to close the blinds. With no other windows in the property, this made the space feel quite enclosed and dark.
The lights didn’t work where the mirror and desk is (unless we couldn’t find the light switch, but looked everywhere).

Nice rooms, frustrating start to the stay trying to sort issues.
Pros:

Beautifully decorated. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Well equipped tea/coffee etc. good location.

Cons:

Air con did not work at all. Control for air con was even inaccessible down the side of a heavy wardrobe. Communication with staff for help was extremely frustrating. Do not book if it is hot and you are banking on the air con like us. They should not be advertising the air Co. Staff unable to provide fans or help in the warm weather.
