My key card stopped working and the staff did not understand this and continued to check the machine, leaving me still trying to get access to my room at 9pm in the evening upon return from working all day. I explained a simple solution to leave me a replacement card in the lockbox while I was away. It was only when I had to make threats to take action was a solution found. This is an unmanned hotel and I had to access my room direct from outside, while it was raining. Staff were pleasant but all done by phone, nothing in person.
No staff available on site to support in cases of problem solving
Location
The cleaner make so much noise out side the room and rude
Rooms are great
Nothing
I liked how secure & private it was
The aircon didn't work & the bed was very uncomfortable
Good room as always at Edgbaston House, very clean and attractive. Didn't see any staff in our visit, just code in and that's it!

Very little
I hated the fact that there was nobody on a reception, nobody who could help with a problem, it made the experience feel very impersonal and isolating.
The room had glass french windows as the door and did not feel secure, it was odd.
I had a man knock on the door/window at 21.30 at night wanting to retrieve his mobile charger from the previous night... There was no concierge or receptionist to contact to help
The tv was not a normal BBC,ITV channels and I couldn't find out how to work it, when I tried to call the call centre for help he said I've no idea I'm miles away
Shower had half the water jets not working
Big fans in the ceiling were noisy
Did not feel like a hotel room and the man who knocked on my window had a parting shot of ....'this is a very odd room I was in it last night....' this unsettled me so I placed the ironing board and iron against the window
All my friends who I have mentioned this experience to agree this was not good
Great location, very nice, spacious rooms and parking.
No staff at all. Very strange.
The room was so spacious and having a bath within the bedroom a delight.
Very quiet too, and I had no fear of disturbing neighbours, rooms being well separated. The property is in a lovely area.
I missed not meeting anyone - hard to reply to your question about staff when you let yourself in and out. However, instructions for checking in and out were very clear and everything worked well.
