We absolutely loved our stay at Richmond Hill Hotel. After traveling all night, being able to check in early was such a gift, and we were incredibly grateful for the kindness and flexibility of the staff.
The hotel itself is exceptionally charming, spotless, comfortable, and full of character. Every interaction we had with the team was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
Richmond is a storybook town, and we’re so glad we chose to stay there rather than simply pass through. Richmond Hill Hotel was a big part of what made the experience so special. It provided the perfect home base for exploring the area and made our time there even more memorable.
We would happily stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the region.
Have stayed here at RHH many times and often come to the Terrace and 144 for lunch or a drink while visiting Richmond. It’s a beautiful spot, stylishly decorated, food and staff are great, free car parking when you stay or even just eating at the restaurant. It’s one of my favourite places in Richmond.
Having previously stayed at the hotel a number of years ago we booked again for a birthday celebration and were so glad that we did, as the hotel was even better than before.
Everything about the stay was perfect - friendly and professional reception staff, beautiful room with superb views (4th floor) , really comfortable bed, immaculately clean and great amenities.
Nothing was too much trouble from the staff.
Free parking was a real bonus.
Would highly recommend.

Wonderfully dog friendly and a short walk to town and the local parks. Would definitely stay again. Lots of steps around the hotel to wind around to your room. Very clean and nicely decorated.
Lovely location at the top of Richmond Hill. A few steps from the Constable view of the Thames and a good pint at the Roebuck. Short walk to the Terraces and the wonderful Hollyhocks. 10-15 minute walk into town for choice of shops and restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable with good quality towels and linens.

Great location and very comfortable. Staff were very welcoming on our arrival
Unfortunately our stay (our second time at the hotel) was spoiled when an airport transfer was not booked as requested. We asked for a transfer to be arranged when we arrived, to go to Heathrow for an early flight the next morning. We were assured at reception this was not a problem. However, we were left standing in the car park very early the next morning in the cold, waiting for a transfer that had not been booked. Luckily were we able to get an early morning Uber to get us and our bags to the terminal in time.
Just returned from a lovely stay at Richmond Hill Hotel. First impressions from outside make the building look dated and less grand than other building in the spare, but don’t be put off, it’s beautiful inside and the service is excellent.
There is plenty of car parking and as a resident you can register to avoid fees providing you book your stay directly with the hotel. There are also several EV chargers, but we didn’t use them so can’t comment on reliability,
We received a warm and friendly welcome from the reception team and given comprehensive directions to our room and that we had been given a complimentary upgrade. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. It would have been nice to have a small bin for tea bags in the room rather than just the bathroom, but otherwise everything was in order. Staff were keen to make sure we were happy at all times and it was a peaceful nights sleep. Some noise from the courtyard at the rear in the morning, but it wasn’t too early to worry about.
Breakfast was plentiful with plenty of choice and check out was smooth.
The location is easy to find and within walking distance of Richmond Park, Richmond town, the river and Kew Gardens. There are plenty of eateries in the vicinity, but we chose to eat at the hotel and were not disappointed at all.
Location is fantastic, room was pleasing and the breakfast superb.
Half price cocktail promotion was very disappointing as limited to a sub-set of cocktails. It got us to the bar but put us off going back as felt decieved. Could have had wine for less.
The hotel is in a nice, quiet area and the bed was so comfortable, which made our stay really relaxing.
The staff were all friendly and attentive, with a special shout-out to Denise at the front desk for looking after us so well. Dinner at 144 On The Hill was delicious too. Easy walk to the town and we enjoyed the riverside walk. We also took the chance to explore the Richmond Park on an e-bike. Overall, a wonderful stay and we’ll definitely be returning.

Man musste bei Anreise eine Art Kaution für das Zimmer bezahlen, obwohl das Zimmer ja bereits im Voraus bei der Buchung bezahlt werden musste. Die abschließende Abrechnung war undurchsichtig. Wir mussten auch extra noch zweimal nachfassen, bis die Kaution wirklich zurück überwiesen wurde. (Erwartet hätte man eine Verrechnung mit der Rechnung mit dem Betrag für Frühstück etc.) Das fanden wir bei den gehobenen Preisen und dem Anspruch des Hotels nicht in Ordnung.
