Vala Boutique Hotel

Unfortunately, the smoke detector alarm kept beeping every 24 seconds. The receptionist was adviced. He had no battery in his possession. There was 2 options. Either remove the battery and stay in a room with no operationnal smoke detector or silence it with a long stick(it normally works we were told) . We chose the long stiIt and did work. We he told us he was there until 22:00 in case of a problem. Upon returning from dinner, everything was good until 01:00. The alarm started beeping every 24 seconds. We had to climb on a chair, reset it with my 360° selfie stick. That would work for 30 minutes. We did it until 8:00 when the receptionist came back. The lady did not speak English so she called the gentleman from the previous evening. He was sorry for the situation but we should have called the emergency number to have fix the problem. We were not advised that there was an emergency number so we took turn for 7;00 to extinguish the alarm. We wish we knew that before! I was given the owner’ number. I was willing to meet him half way… I used the room but did not rest so I would have appreciated a 50% refund. But the owner was stuck up, ignoring my message. I had to right many time to get him to answer me. At the end, it was all my fault. I should have called the emergency number in the middle of the night

קצת היה קשה למצוא את החניה וקבלה

קודם כל בכניסה יש ריח לא טוב בכלל. דבר שני יש מדרגות ועם יש לך מזוודות אז כן זו בעיה , ולא בהכרח מישהו יעזור לך כי הגבר שעובד שם לא תמיד נמצא יש אשה מבוגרת ובטוח שממנה חא נבקש לסחוב לנו מזוודות. אגב בחרתי את המלון כי היה רשום שיש לו חוף פרטי, אך זה פשוט ציבורי שליד .

les escaliers pour accéder à l’hôtel, un peu difficiles à monter avec les valises et un enfant. Mais cela reste un inconvénient minime.

Parking sale et accès difficile, pas facile à trouver
Réception fermée à notre arrivée (18h) attente de plus de 30 minutes devant la porte.

Shocking service!
I booked this place to stay on the beachfront next to the bars and restaurants.
Upon arrival we were told they had double booked us and we had been ‘upgraded’ to a room 10 minute drive away. We room was out of the way. But a young boy greeted us and showed us around. The room was nice but smelt like cigarettes. No refund was offered and was had to pay cash. Upon speaking to the manager he offered to knock €8 off. The young boy showed me to reception and I said I’ll get cash to pay him. After speaking with my girlfriend we was not happy with this hotel and wanted to leave. The new hotel wasn’t even ‘vala boutique’ it was ‘ocean residences’. I called the manager and told him we’re leaving. He refused to cancel my booking and said I need to take it up with booking.com. Approximately 5 minutes later the young boy showed up to the door with a card machine! It must work now. I explained to him we didn’t like the room and were leaving. He got extremely defensive and aggressive. He said ‘okay but believe me if this were another male this would be messy’ and passive agressively threatened us. I would NOT recommend
