Helpful accommodating reception staff
Pros:

Had booked 2 twins and a double via booking .com, when arrived at Mitchel Hall 3 doubles Had been allocated, staff very helpful and accommodating, in providing at least 1 twin on ground floor for elderly relatives. Thank you.

Cons:

Breakfast staff very polite, had to wait for bread to toast, unfortunately the Breakfast went cold, only 2 staff working at the time, serving and till.

Pros:

We were pleasantly surprised by the communal areas with comfy seats, plants and art. The room was very clean and tidy and looked lovely. The curtains had wisely been left closed with the high temperatures and sun on that side of the building. The fan was much appreciated. The shower was superb. All the staff we met were polite and helpful. Special shout out to the lady doing the breakfasts in Reggie's (I think that was the name for the one opposite the reception) who was great at sorting out our veggie sausages and I enjoyed the chat about the various merits of the pastries too. We were pleased we'd added breakfast in. Ample parking and EV charger only a minute down the road. I'd definitely stay again and recommend.

Cons:

Only two petty niggles. There was an encouragement to use the water stations with the little signs in the rooms but there was no description or map of where they were. We did find one eventually but equally we could have asked at reception to find it more easily. It was worth the hunt though with the hot weather. An option of different ordinary teas would be nice in case you're not a fan of the ones provided but that's me being super fussy. A quick walk to the shop and we were sorted - and plenty of options available.

Convenient and still value for money
Pros:

Ideally located close to lectures and large car park.

Cons:

Room was okay but TV was tiny, the remote barely worked. Also, breakfast was being served in Reggies instead of the usual banquet room, with machine served coffee instead of fresh pots.
