Couple stay
Pros:

This place is amazing! It has the best service and great food. Chef Dani made the best food for us, and Alejandro was the best waiter for the 4 days we were staying! Mistrain was a very helpful manager, directing us in all the right directions!

Dirty, noisy hotel! Poor management
Pros:

We rented a villa which was spacious but dirty. There was rust along the shower floors, soap scum all over the glass shower walls and black mold growing in one section. We asked to move rooms and were denied although the resort appeared empty. The food was tasteless and ridiculously expensive. A 4 person lunch with only tacos was $188. The food was bland and small portions. Although we paid in full prior to arrival we had to pay more money upon check out for trash and sewage. But the scariest part was the electrical issues that caused sparking when using a har dryer. It actually blew up my Dyson curling iron. I feel this hotel is unsafe. Ps. The smoke detector in the master was like a strobe light blinking rapid green throughout the night. Extremely disappointed

Great Resort near Cabo San Lucas
Pros:

I recently spent a week at the Hacienda Encantada resort in Cabo San Lucas. This was the first time I have stayed at a resort where all-inclusive was only one of several options available to travelers. That meant that I had to sign for all my food and drinks. I found it no big deal as I was never in a rush. The resort was quite spread out with multiple buildings spread out over a large campus. It was hilly but there was a golf cart service for those with mobility issues. It was good exercise for me. I stayed at Building G - El Encanto de la Hacienda. The 5 story building was the largest, and does have an elevator. My room was spacy and very comfortable. There was housekeeping every day. The water and other drinks in the bar fridge were topped up everyday so there was never a shortage of water. The only buffet was breakfast. I found the the food a bit higher quality than most all-inclusive buffets, probably because some meals were being paid for. Last but least, the staff were outstanding. At the Las Marias breakfast buffet; Claudia (front desk), Ingrid, Rafael, Teresa. Joshua, and Claudia (server). Bartenders at Il Forno; Alex and Apolo. Ariel at the Los Riscos a la carte restaurant. But my favourite was Margarita a bartender and pool side server. She was a the energizer bunny who never slowed down all day long. She always made sure I was looked after even when I wasn't in her section. They all remembered my name and/or my room number from day 2. They made my experience all that much better.

Beautiful resort with great food
Pros:

Beautiful resort with surprisingly good food for an All Inclusive package. The resort is rather large but it was easy to hitch a ride on a golf cart. Staff was very friendly! The beach isn't accessible but we took a shuttle down to their sister resort on the marina, which is just a short walk from the public beach. The resort also allows Ubers to pick you up, some only allow taxis, but you need to ask the front staff to take you via golf cart to a side gate. Having an Uber drop you off is no probably though, they let them through to the main entrance.

Thank you!
Pros:

Thank you to the Pergola team - Angel, Fer, Crick and Alex - who were wonderful hosts during our trip! They were attentive, friendly, and quick! We were well looked after during our vacation.
The Il Forno team and the breakfast team at Las Marias were also great! Raphael, a new server at Las Marias, was super friendly and we appreciated the personal connection.
Thank you to be people who made the extra effort to make our trip special.

Decent but misled
Pros:

It is a decent property for the cost but lots of hills to walk unless call for golf cart service (resulting in lots of tipping of staff), were told we would have a $100 resort credit but it wasn't properly applied to our final bill and they are refusing to give it after check out.

Repeat Guest — Avoid This Property Until Major Issues Are Addressed
Pros:

We have stayed at Hacienda Encantada four times previously without issue and have referred multiple friends who have also stayed here. This visit was completely inconsistent with those experiences and represented a clear breakdown in service and overall guest experience.

Our stay began with transportation arranged through the hotel (with the same agent who booked our room) that sent us to the wrong destination, placing us on a downtown shuttle route from the airport. What should have been a transfer with a few stops along the way turned into an over two-hour, multi-stop ride through downtown Cabo before we were finally brought to the resort — an entirely avoidable error that set the tone for the rest of the trip.

Upon arrival, we were then taken to a second-floor room (instead of the first floor we had specifically requested), requiring us to repeat the check-in process and move rooms. After already losing hours to the transportation issue, this only added to the frustration and disruption.

The most significant issue, however, was the condition of the mattresses. Across multiple rooms, and even after replacement mattresses were brought in, the beds were severely worn, lacked support, were uneven, and visibly unclean. These were not minor issues — the mattresses were clearly beyond acceptable condition and should not be in use at a resort of this caliber.

Despite working with staff, moving rooms, and making repeated attempts to resolve the mattress issue, it was never corrected. We were unable to get adequate rest at any point during our stay.

While staff did offer a small spa credit, it was only extended to one of us, despite both of us being impacted by the lack of sleep throughout the stay. We specifically asked if it could be extended to both of us given the circumstances, and that request was declined.

They also mentioned a potential credit toward a future stay, but no specific amount was ever provided. More importantly, given that the primary issue was never resolved, a future stay credit was not a meaningful or acceptable solution. We had no confidence that the underlying problem would be addressed, and after this experience, could not see ourselves returning under the same conditions.

This was not a minor inconvenience. A substantial portion of our trip was spent coordinating with staff, moving rooms, and trying to resolve problems that should not have existed. It made it difficult to relax and significantly diminished what was intended to be a restful family vacation.

We raised these concerns during our stay and followed up afterward in an effort to resolve the matter directly. However, despite multiple attempts to communicate over the course of two weeks after returning home, we received no meaningful response or resolution.

For a repeat guest who has referred others to this property, the lack of accountability and complete absence of follow-through was as concerning as the issues themselves.

Based on this experience and the lack of resolution, we will not be returning. Until these issues are addressed, we would strongly caution others before choosing to stay here.

Pros:

This is such a special place for our family! The staff is so friendly, the accommodations are beautiful, and the views are spectacular. A few shining stars that were exceptional with their service were Rafael at Las Marias Restaurant, Enrique at Los Riscos Restaurant, and Arturo and Jesus poolside at El Patio. Cesar at Los Patios was the best bartender EVER! He took such good care of us—great drinks and outstanding service. We will be back!

Healthy, relaxing vacation, with self-care included
Pros:

We enjoyed our room with the view of the ocean and the sea breeze. We especially grateful to the entertainment team, let by Ariel whose Aquafitness makes everybody happy. He is an excellent entertainer, sings with a great voice and is also an excellent Pickel ball teacher and player. We are active people so we enjoyed open air classes every morning, alternating tai chi, yoga, Pilates, guided by Ramon, who has an excellent rapport, does first class teaching with great variety and wonderful music accompanying his classes. It’s deeply relaxing and strengthening at the same time. Our room was perfectly cleaned and mopped daily by wonderful Antonia❣️

🌴Celebrating 30 in Paradise🌴
Pros:

Rebekah and I celebrated my 30th birthday at Hacienda Encantada and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The rooms were excellent, super clean, comfortable, and the views were absolutely beautiful.

At El Patio, the service and energy were fantastic. Julio, Oscar, and Aristeo made my birthday SO special. They kept making sure our drinks were never empty, got us great seats, and brought the best energy alllll day!! Cesar, Isabel, Juan Luis, and Jesus were also incredible throughout our stay and made every visit there just as enjoyable.

And every morning at Las Marias was just as amazing. The breakfast was consistently fresh, delicious, and the perfect way to start each day. Rafael (gordo!) went out of his way to make us feel welcome and always made a point to check in and say hello, which meant a lot. Huge thank you as well to Ingrid, Teresa, Joshua, Claudia, and the sweetest omelet chef (who plays soccer 😊), you all made our mornings something to look forward to.

This trip was unforgettable, and it’s because of the people. Thank you for making my 30th so special!! 🩷

Beautiful resort but disliked the necesity to sign for everthing!
Pros:

We just got back from the Hacienda Encantada resort. It is a beautiful resort! The rustic yet tasteful Spanish type decor is stunning. Our room was lovely and very comfortable and well stocked. We chose the all inclusive package, although, some guests do not and there are many time-share suites so they too may opt out of the AI packages. Having said that, it was extremely annoying to have to sign for every drink, meal, or bottle of water even though we had an "AI" bracelet. Also, when we checked in we had to leave a credit card with a 5000 peso deposit for "incidentals!" We have been to Mexico at least 20 times and never had to leave a deposit! There are three public pools and one roof top pool that you need to have an upgrade to enter it. The pools were all very clean and the lounge chairs were very comfortable. We were in building G and pretty much stayed at the pool there the whole week. We were always lucky to get a lounge chair or cabana bed. We tried a couple of the other pools, but if you don't get there early there were never any beds available after 10am.
There is only one main breakfast buffet (Las Marias) and it only available for breakfast. The breakfast selection was always very good. My biggest complain at this restaurant was with the front desk person. I swear going through passport control at a major airport was faster. It was ridiculous the production one had to go through to just to get a table! It was SO annoying!!

You can also get breakfast on the 7th floor at the Mestizo. As for lunch... it only available at the poolside cafes and supper is by reservation only at the 4-5 al-a-carte restaurants. Make sure you book all your reservations early. All of the Al-a-carte restaurants were very nice especially the Mestizo! Apparently there are four restaurants in Cabo San Lucas that this resorts includes as part of their al-a-carte options. We didn't try them. Room service is only available for the upgraded all inclusive options

This resort is very large and spread out. Thank goodness they have golf cart shuttles 24/7. You can call the front desk and the shuttle will be at your door within 5-10 minutes. The shuttle drivers are all very helpful and friendly. (Try to remember to tip them!)
My husband has mobility issues and used a walker/wheelchair. The shuttle drivers were always there to help him into the shuttle and stowing his walker. Having said that, this resorts isn't the best choice for people who have serious mobility issues, unless you use the shuttles. If it weren't for the shuttle we would not be able to leave our building! The staff were all very kind and accommodating.
Also, the pool at building G didn't have a bathroom the could accommodate a person with mobility issues, so if my husband needed to use the washroom he had to go back to our room!

We could see they had a tennis court and pickle ball courts, a putting green and or for bocci ball. They didn't have any evening entertainment that we were aware of which is not a deal breaker for us. I think they rotated the aqua-size classes between the three pools, There wasn't a lot of pool entertainment during the day.
There is a cute little chapel at the top of a hill. We never went into it and I not 100% sure it the shuttle goes up to it. There are apparently all sorts of various vistas around the resort, but we didn't go to all of them. The views at this resort are stunning. We had a partial ocean view and we could see the arches at Cabo.

Overall we had a great time and I would consider this resort again!

Gracious Host at Hacienda Encantada
Pros:

We have been traveling to Hacienda Encantada since 2015 and always have an amazing time. The resort is beautiful and the staff attentive. One person who deserves a special shout out is David Medina. A year ago we spoke about some special requests that we would like on our next trip there. He put my contact information into his phone and when I called he quickly responded
and was able to honor our wishes. His attention should not go unnoticed. He went out of his way to make our vacation absolutely perfect. We were happy to meet up with him and thank him.

Home away from home
Pros:

To me, Hacienda Encantada is a very special place to vacation. The location is marvelous, located just minutes away from downtown Cabo San Lucas and offering shuttle service to the marina throughout the day. Everything you could want/need is located either on the property or just minutes away. All of the staff are very welcoming and hospitable.

Whale Alert!
Pros:

We love Hacienda Encantada because of the staff, cleanliness, and amenities. So many people to make our stay special and to maintain such a large property. They wash the streets and sidewalks every day, constantly cleaning (even elevators!), tending the gorgeous landscaping, and leaving our room spotless. We can swim at 3 pools, eat at 8 restaurants, play mini golf on real greens, pickleball, volleyball, exercise classes, gym, and karaoke with Ariel. There were a lot of whales this time. The staff is amazing. We are so excited and lucky to have Blanca back! Tania is everywhere, bringing a smile wherever she goes. Aristeo manages the adult pool smoothly, Daniel is great at the firepits at Il Ferno, and Luis is excellent at Barolo. We appreciate the service of Juan, Omar, Miguel, Angel, Alex, Ingrid, Anjelica, and Arturo. We will be back soon!
