This hotel is exceptional.
Pros:

This is a hidden gem in the historic district. The staff are helpful in arranging transportation. The breakfast dining area offers a stunning rooftop view. The historic home hotel is a short walk to churches, shopping, dining, and plazas.

Pros:

Lovely room in a lovely hotel full of interesting things to look at. Fantastic breakfast on the rooftop. Great location for the historic centre.

Cons:

Communication by message/email wasn't great. I organised an sirport taxi in advance but there was nothing when we arrived and no one answered when we called. Finally we got through to them but had to get a regular taxi ourselves which was annoying after a long flight.

Large rooms, central location
Pros:

Very large comfortable rooms, and a historic building, decorated with artifacts. It's in a convenient location in the old town. It is on a busy street so I expected quite a bit of street noise, but the various window shutters etc meant that it was actually pretty quiet. The staff were always helpful, and it was restful place to stay.

Cons:

The hotel is in quite a busy street, so if you are getting picked up or dropped off by car you have to be very speedy.

I had a wonderful stay at their lovely hotel. The plants and the openness of the space was amazing!
Pros:

Beautiful hotel, so quaint and cozy. Felt like I was staying at someone’s home!!

Cons:

The toilet paper going in the bin, only because it’s was my monthly menstrual cycle and it was a lot to have to deal with but I understand they had old plumbing.

Limpio y agradable, pero con problemas que no deberían ocurrir
Pros:

El hotel es muy bonito y está muy bien conservado considerando los años que tiene. Las instalaciones estaban limpias, la habitación era agradable y el desayuno fue muy rico, con alimentos frescos y de buena calidad.

Cons:

Durante toda nuestra estancia nunca funcionó el agua caliente de la ducha. Además, al llegar nos cobraron un 8% adicional que no estaba claramente indicado en nuestra reserva por Booking. También solicitamos con anticipación el transporte al aeropuerto y nos aseguraron que estaba coordinado. Sin embargo, al bajar de madrugada para tomar nuestro vuelo, todas las luces estaban apagadas, no había nadie en recepción y las puertas de salida estaban cerradas. Tuvimos que buscar una campana para despertar al empleado, el transporte nunca llegó y finalmente tuvimos que pedir un Uber de emergencia, lo que nos hizo perder tiempo y nos generó un estrés innecesario antes del vuelo.

Ottimo soggiorno nel centro storico di Quito

Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno eccellente a Casa Alquimia. La struttura è bellissima, in una posizione perfetta per visitare il centro storico di Quito. Camera spaziosa e pulita, atmosfera accogliente e staff sempre molto gentile e disponibile.

Will not stay again.
Pros:

It is nice and the room is spacious.

Cons:

Toilet was not working well. The bed frame was dusty. The staff after they were in the room left the door wide open. Indifferent staff. The breakfast is very limited and staff can be more attentive. Poor value for money.

The location in the centre historico is great and the staff are very helpful. We had a very early start on our final day but they still made us coffee.

Cons:

It was a little bit noisy but it was Indepence Day so lots of celebrations.

Beautiful Colonial guest house
Pros:

*Ideal location for sightseeing in the historic district. *The staff were kind and helpful.
*Our room, No.10 was spacious and clean.
*The water dispenser placed in the hallway was a nice touch.
*Breakfast at 3F(rooftop) 7:00 - 9:00 with nice view.

Cons:

Pillows were very hard.
Although it is described as soundproof, there are NO soundproof rooms.
