Lovely hotel and location.
Cons:

Poor service this time at breakfast. Teens seem distracted.
Please improve the coffee and orange juice. Croissants. Crunchy nut cereal. Muesli and yogurt.

Pros:

We paid alot more fir this room than we normally do but it was excellent in every respect. Lovely bed & the bathroom was gorgeous- best shower we've ever had! Beautifully clean too. Staff were all delightful & most helpful, plenty of parking too.

Cons:

We stayed on a Saturday night so was probably never going to be too quiet outside but sadly we had very little sleep because of motor cycles roaring around the square & people outside the hotel shouting. We had dinner there & food was excellent but choice limited we thought. The real problem for me personally was the breakfast. Don't get me wrong everything looked gorgeous & was well presented, my husband had egg on toast & he said it was delicious. My problem was I have a limited diet & so only ever have toast for breakfast. There was only sour dough bread presented which I can't eat & to be honest don't like anyway ( sour dough is an aquired taste I feel) so I asked for ordinary plain bread & they don't have it in the building! I think this is a bit strange to be honest. I'm aware that sour dough is very trendy nowadays & popular but it's not for everyone. So that was a shame. I can eat porridge made with water & they kindly made me some so I didn't go hungry! But I think only having sour dough on offer is a bit unhelpful. I will say that they do offer a gluten free roll but I can't personally eat GF bread.

i come back every year ...charming rooms
Pros:

this is a great historic building in the town centre ..full of character . staff are brilliant and food is excellent . location is convenient and it has parking > the rooms are full of charecter and come with amazing bathrooms

Cons:

the rooms arent air conditioned but its an old building , it can be a little noisy at the weekend , and the car park can get full

5 star treatment all the way
Pros:

Beautiful location. This is the second time we have stayed here. It never fails to please. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, clean and the bathroom is huge, spotless and well equipped.
Food is amazing and the breakfast is worth more than what you pay for it. The staff are so very polite and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

Pros:

Lovely setting. Good range of beer and lunch options. Room was compact but comfortable with good shower. Staff were very friendly and attentive

Cons:

Unfortunately there were issues with pipes or something which meant no cooked breakfast. Staff dealt with this very well and refund sorted out quickly.
