Looked much more promising online. Carpets in the hallway and elevator were offputting. Worst breakfast in Sri Lanka, e.g we found a handful of sad potatoe wedges available. Waffle took a long time to prepare, despite only few guests were around.

The team at The Radh Hotel is the best I've experienced during my week in Sri Lanka! They hold international service standards paired with warmth and genuine care. I made a last-minute reservation after a 5-star hotel disappointed me with their lapse in service standards, and I quickly found The Radh Hotel through Booking.com. Within hours, the hotel reached out to confirm my booking, and from check-in to check-out, the entire experience was exceptional.
- Bellman: Extremely observant! Seeing our car trying to get a spot, he came out quickly to assist us.
- Front Office Staff (Danujaya): Welcomed us warmly and even checked if we needed help downloading the PickMe app, showing true proactiveness and care.
- Housekeeper: A helpful young man who assisted us through a series of unfortunate events that were through no fault of the staff.
- Duty Manager (Mr. Ikram): Resolved those issues decisively without making us feel bad at all, truly exemplifying international service standards.
- Breakfast: The best that I've had! Good spread of international and Sri Lankan food. All's really good! Esp the chicken curry :)

Sound proofing isn't the best, but just let the staff know they'll do their best to resolve and ensure you have a comfortable night sleep.

They have recently refurbished the hotel which is modern & tasteful. Plus they have developed a roof garden with the most magic swimming pool and the stunning views of Kandy. Any guest visiting should definitely swim or view this amazing 4th floor & ask for a room on the 4th floor.
Quality colonial hotel with 5 star service. Great location. Good size room with large beds. This is a 5 star establishment and you get the service.
Building work during the day as they are expanding into next door. You are out during the day so no drama but sometimes hear it at breakfast and up to 6pm. I would stay again with the building work but normally they leave the building work for low season
the hotel is excellent for watching the Perahera parade.
