Absolute hidden gem
Pros:

The staff were fantastic! Room had great amenities and was in a great location to explore Tauranga. I also recommend having dinner downstairs as the food was absolutely superb. Great value for money

the room i stayed in (1.03) was starting to show signs of wear and tear. Also the coffee machine didnt work.

I have stayed several times since it opened . Starting to get a tad tired in the bathrooms in your room .

Pros:

The hotel looks beautiful and is a good wine bar for atmosphere but we went there for accommodation.

Cons:

The ensuite room looked great but did not work for us. The light switches were hidden and when found, the lighting was inadequate. The large bathroom also looked great but didn't work. It was impossible to get close to the mirror for makeup and the lighting was too dim. We could not make the TV work and neither could the staff.

Never again. Couldn't wait to leave.
Pros:

The breakfast was miles away.

Cons:

The decor was tomb-like. Black and grey everywhere. Our room was like a prison cell as far as colour goes. Utterly depressing. The foyer was as welcoming as a public urinal. The stairs were impossible. The original wood work was painted in high gloss black. Black, grey and white are not welcoming colours. Although the exterior of the building was painted appropriately for the architecture, the interior was a travesty.

Great location and enjoyed the architectural value of the building. Our group were all architects
Pros:

One of the reasons I booked this hotel was for the breakfast facility. Sadly no breakfasts were available on the weekend!! I recommended my friends to all stay there and this was rather disappointing.

Cons:

The ability to be served drinks and food on Saturday night....you were fully booked which is great for the hotel ....I should have booked this.
