L emplacement central.
Central location. Clean room. Good service
Fan in room broken. Shower weak did not give good flow
Great stay, excellent location and staff were so friendly and helpful.
Great location and the beds were comfortable.
Me and my girlfriend both had diarrhoea the day after having a cup of tea to realise the milk was 2 months past its best before date
The room was clean and spacious. The location was not for us.
The location was not for us. The noise surrounding the hotel was far too noisy and went on until 1.30am. Now if you are a party going and are out drinking and making lots of noise then please do join them and stay here. If you want a nice night away do not stay here.
Felt safe and bed were very comfortable with enough pillows
No mirror in the room and the cleaners did not come in the two days we were there
Hotel was easy to find, parking was adequate, and the location was central to all attractions around the area.
The nightclub music late into the night nearby.
Good location
No air con, rude staff at breakfast, rooms were dirty
The location was great, it was easy to check in and out , the room was clean and nice
Too hot with windows shut and too noisy with windows open. The temperature in the room was 30 degrees
Location
Lack of parking, lack of temperature control in rooms, shower scaled up so almost no jets working.
Room was great, facilities where great
The price. Just feel for what we got was not what we paid for.
Vari locali in zona.
Positives:
1) A balcony with a view of the High Street and Castle that was relatively cool in the hot weather
2) Great location in the centre of the city
Negatives:
1) No fridge in the room. This doesn't make any sense at all especially because the hotel not having it's own reception, is an overflow for the George Hotel across the road. So it is relatively remote. Anything that helps the guests of the St. Nicholas hotel be more self sufficient should surely be a consideration.
2) The provision of two sachets of milk and three English Breakfast tea bags after the room was "refreshed" each day just isn't enough. We had to ask the receptionists and housekeepers repeatedly for more during our four night stay. The housekeeper was rude on one occasion.
All the while, there is a Nisa store just across the road. I'd have happily bought milk and teabags, but there's no fridge in the room.
3) Thw shower didn't work properly
4) The carpets in the communal areas were stained giving the appearance of a seedy hotel
5) Someone banged on our door in the middle of the night on two occasions, shouting in a distressful way. We alerted the receptionist to this in the morning. She said nothing had been reported and night staff walk round regularly.
