The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly.
If you are motion limited, the stairs will not like you. No elevator. It was fine for me but my wife would have hated it. There is limited parking, so you have to park some distance from the hotel at times. It is an older hotel, the floors are wooden and creek at every step. Some rooms are listed as cabins and have a community shower and toilets. Probably like a hostel.
The rooms are nice. The showers are simple and easy to use. The records for use are fun !
I could hear someone snoring very loudly in one of the rooms I had to wear earphones with white noise playing to block it out
Great location right in the heart of Astoria. Rooms were clean and the bathroom facilities were also. All of the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Sarah- Ann and Tara. Who always answered our questions and gave advice
Can’t really fault it but if I had to pick one it would be that there was no lift at the entrance so you have to carry your cases up some stairs to get to reception but it did not spoil our stay one bit.
Open, bright and colorful spaces, couple blocks to downtown, and a brewery across the street.
Having to carry the bags up the stairs.
The location was great, the staff was fantastic, and the bed was super comfy.
Loved our stay here! We stayed in a suite in the Astor building and it was spacious, clean, and incredibly cute. The location was perfect — right downtown and easily walkable to shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. The room had so much charm while still feeling comfortable and updated. Would absolutely stay here again on our next trip to Astoria!
The Norblad's Astor is our home away from home when we want to leave the city and view the ocean. Local pubs, coffeeshops and bistros are very good, and all within walking distance. The Astor has the amenities we love: robes, bottled water and great views.
Close to downtown
The bed was very soft
We recently spent 4 nights at the Norblad in an Astor suite. The accommodation was perfect for us--very quiet, comfortable, and perfectly located within walking distance of much of Astoria. The staff we interacted with was uniformly friendly and helpful. We're already thinking of returning to Astoria--if we do we would definitely stay at the Norblad.
Central location to everything. Very friendly vibes. Comfortable bed and rooms facing Exchange street has plentiful natural light. Friendly and very accommodating staff. Kitchen available with stove, fridge, microwave, keurig coffee. Maintained well and very clean!
Fun place - they will even loan you a record player to play a vinyl record from their collection - great staff.
They should have or enforce a “quiet time after ____” policy so you don’t have to hear a neighbor’s record player after ____ time at night.
The Astor suite had beautiful views and clean space! The road noise is loud at night, but they did supply earplugs so that’s nice. Great spot for walking downtown Astoria! We didn’t get to borrow a record player this time, but such a cool amenity! Loved this place for our honeymoon, definitely will come back!
Unique boutique
We stayed at the Astor suites, a part of the Norblad. Charming space with beautiful views. Proximity to many of the treasures of Astoria in walking distance.
Incredible view and location, our suite was beautiful and stylish, and had all the amenities we needed. Would love to stay longer next time
No kids are allowed to stay in the suites which was limiting for the folks we traveled with
