Prachtige locatie in de oude visserswijk, maar de specifieke stijl van de B&B moet je wel liggen.
Pros:

Wat mij het meest beviel, is de prachtige ligging. De B&B bevindt zich in de oude visserswijk, wat mij betreft echt het mooiste en beste deel van Scilla. De kamer was ruim en voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt voor een verblijf van een paar nachten. Het bed had een prima matras en het balkonnetje rondom de kamer was een erg fijne plek om 's ochtends of 's avonds even iets te drinken. De badkamer was eveneens ruim en er waren voldoende handdoeken aanwezig. Ook was de airconditioning een erg welkome toevoeging. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en extreem behulpzaam, al spreken ze helaas nauwelijks Engels. Met behulp van een vertaalapp kom je er gelukkig prima uit. Het ontbijt was qua aanbod prima in orde en het is een leuke attentie dat er elke ochtend persoonlijk wordt gevraagd of je een eitje wilt.

Cons:

Hoewel het op de foto's wel te zien is, kreeg ik in de praktijk toch een ander gevoel bij de inrichting; ik ben persoonlijk niet zo gecharmeerd van de stijl van de B&B. Hierdoor heb je soms ook het idee dat bepaalde spullen op de kamer nogal breekbaar zijn. Daarnaast was het water in de douche op een gegeven moment langdurig koud. Dit kwam mogelijk door het gebruik van een kleine boiler en was wellicht gewoon pech.

Parkeren in de directe omgeving van de B&B is daarnaast een behoorlijke uitdaging. Omdat ik in een relatief rustige periode reisde (oktober), was er gelukkig plek op een kleine, gratis parkeerplaats aan het begin van de wijk. In drukkere tijden zou ik echter niet weten waar je de auto redelijkerwijs kwijt kunt. Gezien de grote hoogteverschillen in Scilla loop je dan het risico dat je flink wat trappen op en af moet met je koffers als je verder weg moet parkeren.

Tot slot nog een kleine opmerking die losstaat van de accommodatie zelf: buiten het zomerseizoen is het in Scilla erg rustig. Dit merkte je goed aan de horeca; een aantal zaken was gesloten terwijl er op internet stond dat ze open zouden zijn. Het aanbod aan restaurants was daardoor iets beperkter dan verwacht.

Pros:

The location is excellent. There are numerous restaurants at the doorstep and the beach is a short walk away. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Bathrooms could use an update but were clean and functional. Breakfast is very good.

Albergo da fiaba, posizionato sugli scogli , la nostra camera , che era in mansarda aveva un soppalco con sgabelloni per guardare il mare da un' altana .. arredato come le ville reali . Veramente suggestivo
