Location was great. Need more supplies stocked in room.
Location to surrounding merchants was so convenient
Restaurant had good food

The hotel was clean and nice, as was the room. But the room was small. It is in a great location, which almost justifies the excess nightly cost. But the hotel charges extra to check in even a few minutes early and charges extra to use the TV and/or the internet. I will not return.
The location alone deserves 5 stars. Are you kidding me?!
With the long food lines at Pike Place, it was so nice to be able to say, “I’ll come back later when things calm down a bit..” You literally walk downstairs, and there it is. Yes, it’s that close!
The hotel itself is absolutely luxurious. You can tell from the details and décor that a lot of artistic thought went into its design. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and tastefully decorated. I love the large windows, and if you’re lucky, you’ll get an amazing view overlooking Pike Place.
The staff was absolutely incredible and incredibly helpful. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, we were greeted with nothing but smiles and friendly hellos every day.
If you have time, check out the bar. We had the privilege of spending a couple of hours with Justin and Jeremy. If you’re looking for unique, creative cocktails, Justin is definitely your guy. If you prefer expertly crafted classic cocktails, Jeremy is your guy.
We also tried the rooftop bar. While the view was amazing, we weren’t big fans of the drinks.
As for parking, it’s off-site, but the walk isn’t bad at all—about a block away. There was security patrolling the area, which definitely put our minds at ease.
Breakfast was delicious. Be sure to try the pancakes—they’re really good! They also offer gluten-free options.
Considering it’s located in the heart of the city, I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was. We couldn’t hear any outside noise, and we didn’t hear a single neighboring guest throughout the night, aside from the occasional sound of people entering or leaving their rooms.
Overall, I don’t think I could stay anywhere else after being so thoroughly spoiled. I’d personally like to thank the wonderful staff for making our stay such a memorable one.
Location was excellent and staff was very friendly and helpful. In room coffee was amazing and the room was very comfortable. The rooftop deck with happy hour was excellent.
The ideal location, the comfort of the room, and the rooftop patio make this hotel an amazing place to stay.
The rooms are somewhat small, but we weren't spending time in the room.
Great location!!
Convince.
The property and the location was very nice and close to all amenities. The breakfast food was very good.
Stayed here for one night before our honeymoon on a cruise. They left us a beautiful bottle of bubbles and a great note to kick off our celebration.
Dear readers, this hotel was perfect for our trip….so close to all the action not too big not too small….It was just right….I tagged along on my husband’s business trip…I did some solo touring, which I usually don’t like to do, but it was convenient for me being so close to the market as well as other tours I had done while visiting. The staff was so kind and friendly…The restaurant downstairs was great and convenient…the rooftop bar is a great way to relax in the evening. I can’t recommend this place enough, especially if you want to be in the touristy areas. It’s just a block around the corner… The rooms are comfortable and spacious. My only complaint with the bathroom is I don’t love open showers because I get cold. Otherwise everything was wonderful.
Location was excellent. The staff was professional and friendly.

The hotel location was excellent. The staff were very professional, helpful and pleasant. The room was nice.
Did a lot of research beforehand and this is the hotel I ultimately decided upon for our Monday -Thursday trip to Seattle . Paid extra for a water view and IMO it was worth it. Looked out directly over the water and the neon sign of the Pikes Place Market. My final choices were between the State and the Fairmont. I believe I made the right choice. Room was a postage stamp, but I knew this beforehand. Location trumped all else. A block away from the market and 2 metro stations blocks away. Comfortable, clean, quiet, and a very nice staff. If you want to be close to the action downtown , I wholeheartedly recommend staying at the State Hotel.
Great service and location. Clean rooms and helpful staff.
Corner room location was nice
At least one comfortable chair would be good.
Location -close to pike markets and shops
A bit dated -homeless outside in street
