A very enjoyable stay in a converted jute mill, which was a first for us.
Pros:

The staff were friendly and professional. The appartment itself was exceptionally good. Beautifully converted from an old jute mill with a brick-arched ceiling. Lots of clever and stylish design touches in the room too. Breakfast was good and taken in a large informal dining space. The hotel has weekly drinks and nibbles evenings for guests which we particularly liked. We would definitely stay in this hotel, were we to visit Dundee again.

Cons:

Nothing really about the hotel itself. It's a 15 minute walk from the train station, so other hotels of a similar quality, such as Malmsison are better located in Dundee City centre.

Pros:

At reception we were told that we were getting an upgrade apartment which was excellent. The apartment was clean and comfortable the kitchen was ok to prepare and cook a limited amount. There is no oven but that was ok for us. Breakfast in the morning was excellent plenty of room and breakfast staff were helpful and friendly

A stylish stay
Pros:

Very stylish conversion of former jute mill. Lots of neat designer touches in the very well appointed rooms. The height and styling of the old fsctory ceilings are exceptional. Professional and friendly staff. Good breakfast in a large and relaxed dining space. Will defintely book here again on any future visit to Dundee.

Esperienza pessima a Dundee

L’unica cosa positiva è stata la disponibilità della receptionist che non essendoci camere disponibili per sostituire la nostra ed essendo andati via gli addetti alla pulizia, si occupata lei personalmente della pulizia della nostra camera, inusuale e abbastanza assurdo tutto questo, soprattutto in una catena di hotel di questo genere. Comunque, per questo la ringraziamo molto.

Cons:

Esperienza peggiore della nostra vita. Il servizio offerto al cliente é approssimativo e truffaldino. Arrivati al parcheggio convenzionato erano circa le 7:30 pm: alla reception, ho compilato una liberatoria con i miei dati personali e la targa della nostra macchina a noleggio, pagando 15£ per il posteggio. Nel parcheggio ci sono cartelli che indicano di dover registrare la macchina non appena arrivati, ma nessuno ci ha spiegato che oltre a quel documento avremmo dovuto inserire la targa noi manualmente in un iPad che funzionava solamente con un Pin privato del personale della reception: la mancata registrazione comporta una multa di 100 £. Da precisare che anche i giorni prima al nostro arrivo non é arrivata nessuna comunicazione in merito al funzionamento della registrazione. La camera non era stata pulita, in particolare il bagno era ancora sporco (WC sporco, capelli nel lavandino, sul pavimento e in doccia). Solo reclamando la sostituzione della camera che purtroppo non era disponibile, abbiamo notato la presenza degli iPad e chiedendo al personale la loro funzione ci hanno detto che avremmo dovuto inserire noi la targa della macchina essendo il parcheggio a detta loro gestito da una ditta esterna e che quindi il pagamento della tassa e la firma della liberatoria non sono sufficienti. Abbiamo richiesto un aiuto per la risoluzione di questa problematica creata da questa gestione superficiale ma le alternative che ci hanno proposto sono state assurde e fuorvianti. Il cliente in questo hotel non solo non si sente accolto e aiutato ma purtroppo a nostre spese si sente anche truffato. Abbiamo viaggiato in varie parti del mondo ma mai ci é successa una cosa del genere. Ricordiamo che questo era un soggiorno di svago e quindi riteniamo che il cliente che soggiorna in un hotel debba essere seguito e accolto in tutte le fasi del suo soggiorno in modo da viverlo serenamente, cosa che in questo caso non é successa.
