Affordable cozy motel at a great location.
Pros:

Humberto was a great host. He helped usnfind a Tikal guide. He was always around to answer questions. The rooms were clean and modern. Thebbeds were comfortable and the linens were clean. Can't beat the location, right on the lake and a short distance from Tikal, Flores and the Belize border. We appreciated the free gated parking for our rental.

Cons:

The AC's struggled to cool the rooms but we were on a 2nd story and it was in the 90's. The in room bathrooms had a damp.smell, which we solved by keeping the doors closed.

Très bon rapport qualité prix dans un endroit calme idéal pour visiter Tikal
Pros:

Bel hébergement, au calme. Les espaces communs sont très spacieux avec possibilité de se préparer un déjeuner simple. Le personnel ainsi que le patron sont très sympathique et serviables.

The kind owner upgraded our room to a larger room on the bottom floor without an up charge and he even got up from a nap

Probably the best accommodation of our stay in Guatemala. Air conditioning, big bed, very clean, shower usually warm, great view, hammock on the balcony and Umbierto was an incredible host. So friendly and helpful, we enjoyed chatting every time we saw him. He also helped set up a tour for Tikal for us which was an incredible experience with a knowledgeable guide who cared very deeply for his heritage and culture and was eager to share it with us.
