Great location in a historic building within walking distance to everything.
Pros:

Marta was absolutely wonderful checking us in, recommending restaurants, and making us feel welcome while we were hanging out in the lobby/lounge. The breakfast served in the hotel was the best we had in Iceland. The portions were huge and set up on the table before we arrived for breakfast.

Cons:

It’s not that I didn’t like it, but the room was very small. But to me it was part of the charm.

Small but very comfortable and welcoming.
Pros:

You enter into a very nice lobby that feels almost like a sitting room, with comfy chairs and complimentary tea and biscuits. The staff were simply wonderful--they went way above and beyond to be helpful. There is no lift so they helped take my bags up the stairs. Everything was squeaky clean and the bed was very comfortable. I had a single room and it was very small; one side was under the roof line so the useable floorspace, and headroom, was extremely limited. If you just wanted to sit down and put your feet up you did so in the lobby and had a cup of something and a biscuit as well. Breakfast was coordinated with the Hotel Karolina up the street and was very satisfactory.

Zeker aanrader, wel relatief duur, maar dat hangt ook af van tijd van het jaar.
Pros:

Fantastisch ontbijt, maakte onze dag. De lekkerste gerookte zalm ooit.
De lounge is heel huiselijk en mooi ingericht.

Cons:

Ik schrok toch een beetje van de prijs. €488 voor 2 een persoonskamers en dat is nog zonder ontbijt.

Charming small hotel with great atmosphere
Pros:

A really nice and friendly place right near the harbour. It is charming and the service is great. The room was small but really nice and the whole place has a very family feel to it. Would highly recommend this wonderful little place to anyone. We loved it. The breakfast was really nice as well.
