Pros:

Hotel Egilsen was amazing. It is located near the harbor so it's close to the the lighthouse walking trail, restaurants, churchs, and all the major sites in Stykkishólmur. At the checkin I was meet by Monica and she explained all the amenities and got our group of 9 situated; she explained breakfast and made some sightseeing successions. After we returned, she fixed everyone coffee or tea. She was wonderful. The rooms were more than adequate size-wise and the very comfortable. The bathrooms were modern. The morning crew was Marta (?) I think. But she was very sweet and had an amazing breakfast prepared for my group and helped us pack the leftovers for a Snæfellsnes peninsula picnic. I would 100% return to Egilsen. Excellent service, premium lodging, amazing breakfast.

Cons:

I have zero complaints.

Sehr nettes Personal, hat uns abends Tee zubereitet und Kekse dazugelegt und am Morgen gab es ein super angerichtetes Frühstück, das beste der ganzen Reise. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und das Bad richtig modern obwohl das Haus selbst nostalgisch ist. Die Lage am Hafen war super

Unser Zimmer war ganz oben mit schräger Wand und eigentlich gemütlich, aber ins Bett zu kommen und sich nicht den Kopf zu stoßen war schon schierig. Ein großer Koffer hätte nicht mit reingepasst aber für eine Nacht war es total in Ordnung.

Everything. Marta was lovely. They provide top tier customer service and the shower was the best we found. The restaurant they made reservations for us was exceptional. Highly recommend.
