A great place to stay right on the beach! Waves for days!
Pros:

The beach is right outside the sliding glass door, everything was clean, and the service crew is EXCELLENT. I was expecting a package and it arrived after I left and Jackson called and let me know they would forward it to me. Terrific!

Cons:

Probably could use a mattress upgrade. The wall heater wasn’t working, but they had provided an excellent space heater. The downstairs hallway was not finished. But, all minor because my stay was so relaxing I didn’t want to leave . I believe I could’ve gotten a better price dealing directly with the Pelican Inn rather than using Booking.com.

Pros:

Absolutely amazing stay here. Rooms were large, spotless, comfortable beds and the deck and view of the ocean was fantastic. The staff went beyond being helpful to make sure everything was perfect. Robert gave us 5 star service. Pool was perfect. We will be back for sure and highly recommend staying here.

We sat on our patio for hours taking in the ocean waves and a beautiful sunset
Pros:

Location was amazing! Ocean view with easy stair access right to the beach. Staff were very friendly. Several other guests sitting on their patio or balcony enjoying the view- all were friendly. Plenty of places to eat within a short distance

Very relaxing
Pros:

The view of the ocean was spectacular. Access to the beach was down about 40 stairs. I was on the lowest level which meant I had nice patio with grassy area. It was very windy down on the beach but patio was sheltered so able to sit out and listen to the ocean and delight in the sunshine. Able to walk long distances along the beach. Enjoyed the free coffee and light breakfast food in the morning. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Very clean.

Cons:

The only drawback is that there are not amenities to walk to such as cafe or coffee shop.

Pros:

The beds were comfortable and having a seperate bedroom was nice. The pool was refreshing. Beach access was not too strenuous which was great for repeated trips down.

No hot tub.

First Timers
Pros:

This was our first stay at Pelican Shores, and we will definitely be back. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and the view was spectacular! We enjoyed having the small kitchen in the room for any food prep and the continental breakfast was a nice start each morning. Thank you for making this a pleasant stay on the coast!

Great place, great people, great experience
Pros:

Such an amazing place to stay. Watching and listening to the waves while you fall asleep and wake up is absolutely worth it. Another added bonus is the service. Jackson at the first desk was super helpful, friendly, and accommodating, definite 5 stars.

Romantic weekend with sunsets and a fireplace.
Pros:

Loved watching the sunset from the balcony. All the rooms face the ocean. Private stairs go right down to the beach from the hotel.
Liked the swimming pool. Wish they had a hot tub.
Loved the gas fireplace. It was romantic.

Cons:

Our ice cream bars were too soft because the freezer wasn't cold enough, and our milk and oranges froze in the back of the refrigerator.

The staff, the location and the ocean view was the best we would definitely come back.
Pros:

The location was awesome pertaining to the ocean view. It was perfect.

Cons:

We were a little bit skeptical as we drove in. The parking lot was pretty small, pretty cramped and hard to maneuver around with the parking.
The lobby was very clean, but the walk downstairs to our room was a little moldy smelling, and didn’t look very good but once we got into the room, it was very very nice.
