Ideal place to stay for a couple of nights exploring lake Bohinj area
Pros:

Lovely hotel with delicious and varied breakfast and very close to the Lake. Comfortable bed with lovely bed linen and pillows. Nice spacious bedroom. Nice small g bathroom products. The staff were very helpful and brought us a fan as it was hot (no a/c in room). Easy parking outside

Tired and outdated. Family run, needs a major refit.
Pros:

Good location.

Cons:

No fans or aircon. Unpleasant during hot weather. Breakfast is passable, 7.30-9.30 is a bit inflexible, instant powder coffee and juice. Bathrooms are dated. Wellness is a paid extra. Staff appeared uncomfortable.

Beautiful location, clean room, comfy bed. Some of the staff was super kind and helpful. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. We also ate in the restaurant once and the food, wine and service was perfect. They serve sustainably sourced local produce which is super respectable.
They provided us with a fan for the room as we arrived in the June heatwave and the rooms don't have aircon and due to a heath condition we needed one.
15 mins walk to the lake. The hotel is surrounded by trees which give a lot of shade which is great on a hot day.

Cons:

There was no aircon in the room and I asked how they plan to help guests stay cool, to which they suggested that we open the balcony door and window in the cooler hours of the evening. It is understandable and admirable that they are making efforts to be an eco friendly hotel which is probably why there is no aircon. But then they should at least provide proper shutters that keep out the sun (there was only a voile and a curtain) and mosquito nets so you can enjoy a good night's sleep with the windows open and without getting bitten by everything.
