Great location!
Pros:

Location was awesome, on the Strand which is the walkway on the beach. The staff were so great, front desk and valets. Bar team were a little less responsive, we sat for nearly 15 minutes before being asked what we wanted.

Cons:

Check in is at 3pm, we got into our room an hour later. Front desk kept saying they were checking. Later the housekeeper told us the room had been ready at 11 (she told me 3:15) the next day. Front desk was really nice about it but it was rather annoying. The floors in our room weee covered in sand, they had to come back and vacuum. The soap dispenser in the shower was empty and so was the coffee pods.

Great location but that's about it.
Pros:

things we liked about this hotel was the location was perfect and right on the beach. Most of the rooms had a nice view and the rooms were large. The staff was also very friendly.

Cons:

The towels had stains and were worn and tattered/frayed. The tv was promised to have Chromecast capability but it didn't work. The shower had no shower gel in the soap pump and the shower grout and sink grout was black with mold. The bed pillows were incredibly uncomfortable and small. The continental breakfast was worse than what you would see at a 3 star hotel. For $500/night it just did not meet our expectations.

Pros:

Lage war TOP, direkt am Strand. Personal sehr freundlich. Zimmer sind grundsätzlich sehr sauber (nur etwas gemüffelt). praktisch war auch, dass wir für den Strand Equipment ausborgen konnte (Strandsessel).

Cons:

Preis- Leistung ist leider nicht ganz zufriedenstellend (sehr teuer dafür dass es von der Ausstattung her nicht so viel gibt - keinen Pool, kein Fitnessstudio). Parken beim Hotel war leider auch sehr teuer, sonst kaum günstige Möglichkeiten.

The perfect place for our family to unwind after a hectic trip to Disneyland.
Pros:

The location was excellent — right next to the beach and one street over from tons of restaurants. The room was decorated beautifully and intentionally. The suite provided lots of space for our family of four.

Cons:

Small things that made our stay less convenient — had to request ice from the front desk, housekeeping was in our room every day at 3-4pm when we were returning to the room, the locks on the front/back doors were synced in a way that resulted in us being locked out a couple times.

Overall I thought it was expensive for what you got.
Pros:

I liked the bicycle rental discount and location.. bed was comfy as well.

Cons:

The housekeeping was lacking.. the first day we didn't have a bath mat and the rest of the days we never got hand towels and wash cloths.

Love the location and the vibe, but disappointed in the breakfast
Pros:

Great location and well decorated.

Cons:

The restaurant is good, but the breakfast does not reflect any connection to the restaurant. It used to be good but now it’s like a cheap hotel continental breakfast.

Beautiful stay in Hermosa!
Pros:

Rooms were clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and had all the amenities we needed. Loved the bar/restaurant area; so kind that they give guests discounts and free drinks upon arrival. Location is amazing right in the beach and close walking distance to restaurants on the pier.

Cons:

Was overpriced for this type of hotel.
