Pros:

To exhaust my Ambassador Weekend Night and points, I chose InterContinental Zhuhai for its convenient proximity to Macau and its serene lake view. What truly distinguished this stay, however, was the exceptional quality of service delivered consistently by the entire team.

Ms. Emily Liao at the front desk impressed me immediately with her sophistication, professionalism, and genuine warmth. She proactively upgraded all of my stays across two separate bookings—a gesture that went far beyond expectations and stood in clear contrast to the narrow-minded and overly cautious handling I previously encountered at another InterContinental property. Her actions reflected confidence, discretion, and a true understanding of what hospitality should be.

Ms. Miya, the Duty Manager, also left a strong and lasting impression with her decisiveness, sound judgment, and genuinely hands-on leadership style. Even after making an exceptionally generous arrangement for us, she continued to go back and forth personally to ensure that every aspect of our stay was flawless. Through her thoughtful coordination, Lyon Ye prepared a practical and much-appreciated souvenir for us. Lyon was also highly attentive to my suggestions and demonstrated a commendable level of care and responsiveness throughout our stay.

The team’s overall attentiveness and responsiveness to every request we made are fully comparable to the supreme service standards I have experienced at InterContinental Madrid. This level of excellence clearly reflects the vision and ambition of the hotel’s leadership, which is consistently translated into action by its staff. From Yip Siu Fung, Jeslyne Huang and Anson Deng to several others whose names I photographed in haste—unfortunately resulting in blurred images—every team member was proactive, helpful, and genuinely committed to delivering the best possible guest experience.

The breakfast buffet deserves special mention for its wide variety and excellent quality. Housekeeping was equally impressive: impeccably efficient and maintaining the room to a spotless standard. Our room was tidied and fully refreshed before we returned from breakfast, and, notably, for the first time in my experience, the housekeeping staff thoughtfully prepared three full sets of amenities without any need for reminder—an attention to detail that speaks volumes about their professionalism. Meanwhile, the team ran errands with impressive efficiency, promptly delivering requested items within a short time. When I accidentally left my cosmetic pouch behind after a check-up, it was thoughtfully recovered and returned to me by the time we came back from dinner to collect our luggages.

In addition, the staff handling our telephone enquiries were consistently responsive, courteous, and genuinely helpful, further reinforcing the hotel’s outstanding service culture.

Given the exceptionally high standard of service throughout our stay, I genuinely believe InterContinental Zhuhai stands out as the finest hotel in Zhuhai and sets a benchmark for what true luxury hospitality should be.

A Hotel on the Beachfront facing Macau
Pros:

Located in the middle of Zhuhai city, the rooms are spacious. The rooms are clean with a place for receiving guests. Lucky to get a room with a panoramic view of the Hong Kong-Macau-Zhuhai bridge. The atmosphere is relaxed and quite ideal for business meeting and conferences.
