A pleasant stay on a long distance walk, Rooms clean and tidy,

Excellent stopover location for my cycle trip
Pros:

Excellent. Hotel used as a stopover on my cycle tour of the Lakes. Good location, helpful staff, secure cycle storage, very good dinner and breakfast, very good beer and a comfy bed. Plus the weather was fabulous.

Cons:

Nothing - all very good.

Wonderful stay
Pros:

Lovely room and comfortable bed. The pub is beautiful and cosy. Food was lovely, especially the Sunday roast. Lorna and her team are great hosts. The cooked breakfast was also delicious.

Very enjoyable!
Pros:

Rooms and beds very comfortable. Lovely atmosphere and food.
The staff were excellent, in particular Andrew and Jackie when we lost our car keys.

Comfortable and pleasant.
Pros:

Great welcome on arrival. Interesting old pub. The room was warm and comfortable. Dinner and especially breakfast very good. Service very attentive.

Cons:

Presumably the terrible weather and it being mid week were the reasons why the bar area was deserted after dinner - we were the only ones there, which made it an odd experience. The bar staff were more then helpful though.
