Everything was ok but pool was not ready to use .

Everything was perfect during our stay at Ravendell Hotel. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always had a smile on their faces, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The service was outstanding, and everyone was very helpful and attentive to our needs.
The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, making it a great place to stay in Kandy.
Honestly, we did not find anything to dislike. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we were very satisfied with our experience.

Hospitality, and the view
We had a fantastic stay at Rivendell Hotel during our time in Kandy. The hotel is set up in the hills, giving beautiful views and surrounding greenery – especially lovely in the early morning and at sunset on the roof top swimming pool.
The rooms were very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a nice view. The room had a bar fridge & tea and coffee making facilities.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and happy to assist with any requests transport or local recommendations.Breakfast was delicious with a good mix of Sri Lankan and Western options.The peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect place to unwind after exploring Kandy.
It’s close enough to the city centre to visit places like the Temple of the Tooth, but far enough away to enjoy some quiet time.
Highly recommend Rivendell Hotel for anyone visiting Kandy – great value, lovely staff, and stunning views!

Amazing stay! The hotel is peaceful with stunning mountain and pool views. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the food was delicious. The staff, especially Mr. Thilanka, went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Truly a hidden gem near Kandy

I’ve stayed at many hotels in Sri Lanka, but the staff here truly stood out. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Their constant smiles, kindness, and attention to every detail were something truly special.
The way they took care of us was beyond expectations — it felt personal, sincere, and full of warmth. This hotel will always have a special place in my memories because of the incredible team.
Just one suggestion: the rooftop has an absolutely amazing view — it’s a perfect spot to relax. However, there were no seats or umbrellas to sit under, which was a missed opportunity. Adding some seating and shade would make a huge difference and allow guests to enjoy that breathtaking view comfortably.
