I needed to spend 12 days and 11 nights here in Madison for business. I found that the Hotel Indigo had such a unique theme and a community, neighborhood vibe. All of my needs were met and I need to give a shout out to all of the people at the front desk, including Sam, Daniel, Irwin, Aiden, Clark, and Connor. Sam helped me before I even arrived in making sure I was set up with transportation and answering all of my questions. The restaurant was remarkable and I frequented it. Paula, at the bar was kind in making sure I got the spotted cow beer and the amazing cheddar beer bisque.
Every day I needed to take a shuttle for work and the drivers were spectacular. Tyler especially was kind and caring and gave good recommendations food in town.
I really appreciate it all of the fun games, records, nostalgia, and Madisonesque things to do and see at the Indigo.
This is definitely a town for bike riding, water, skiing show views, wonderful food, university of Wisconsin views over at the Memorial Union and State Street strolling.
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Hotel Indigo! The entire property was spotlessly clean, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was the incredible team and the unique character of the building itself.
The hospitality here is unmatched. Irwin, Aiden, Sam, Conner, and Daniel at the front desk went completely over the top for us with their warmth and helpfulness. Getting around town was also a total breeze thanks to Tyler on the shuttle, who provided excellent service and great energy.
As a fan of anything historical, I was fascinated to learn from Irwin at the front desk that the hotel is actually a beautifully restored old Mautz paint factory! He took the time to elaborate on how all Hotel Indigo properties intentionally incorporate local history and design everything around the flavor of the neighborhood. It added such a cool, thoughtful layer to our 2 week stay.
Madison Wisconsin is such a cool town! I recommend this property and staff highly.
Location, decor but it was not clean.
This property is average for a newer college town hotel, it’s not very clean or welcoming. It was strange when I checked in the front desk informed me the towels were not in the room because of airline personnel staying in room? I don’t understand what they were talking about! The worst part is the next day I was hoping to grab a sandwich on my way out the cafe literally had just closed - as in on the dot - I wanted to purchase the remainder that was sitting in the cooler - clearly they would toss out since it was already a few days old, and I was told no, the register was closed and they couldn’t accept cash? Why would ever turn down money!? Especially in food items that are going bad in the next day or two. This was bizarre to me - and they should accommodate their guests, especially when they have left over food items!! It’s just lazy in my opinion to not take the cash and record it later - plus they were extremely rude about it.
Our one-night stay at the Indigo was excellent. The check-in with Conor was professional and friendly, and the adjacent covered garage is a big plus. We had an upper floor room that was clean, and beyond a few scuff marks, well-maintained. After a walk through Madison, we had a late (for Wisconsin) dinner at the bar. The food was good and the cocktails well-made. While check-out is at 1100, we were able to leave our car in the garage until 1400, enabling us to have lunch nearby at Madison Sourdough. We have family near-by and will return to the Indigo.
How close it was to music Venus
The room felt like I was sleeping In a basement
My favorite brand of hotel is Holiday Inn Express. I think i might have a new option at the IHG properties. Hotel Indigo is a swanky, upscale hotel. This one is in a refurbished paint factory. The decor is great, and the room layout gives a lot of space to unwind. The service was excellent. I was attending an event at a nearby location, so I did not get to sample the breakfast or the bar. This location is highly recommended! The photos are of room 430.
Everything was great from the front desk staff to the rooms (beds & pillows were the BEST) to the coffee bar for coffee & breakfast. We were there for a gala and the front desk person shuttled us to the event just down the road because it was windy and cold out. So grateful for the top notch service!
This isn't really a complaint or something I didn't necessarily like, but the parking structure next to the hotel did not have a covered walkway to it and valet service wasn't available. That being said, it was just a short walk to the structure so it wasn't an inconvenience, unless it had been raining. But it was covered parking, so that was nice. Parking was $20 per night.
I loved everything about this hotel, from the staff to the cleanliness. The hotel was clean everywhere I went outside, public bathrooms, lobby, and my room. I will definitely go back.
Hotel overall was stylish clean and quiet. Room was incredibly comfortable
The curtain didn't go all the way to the far wall which allowed light to come in. I work 2nd shift so I need darkness to sleep properly.
The water pressure was light and the shower door made a terrible screeching noise when being moved.
Clean, convenient and friendly staff
