I showed my prepaid confirmation to front desk, but she persisted to ask authorization to make extra payment of $1909.65. Location is good, but facility is really old.
Too old, and employee’s attitude, she forced me to pay additional payment of $1909.65 despite I showed her my payment in full to booking.com.
Should include breakfast.
Didn’t include breakfast.
Location, location, location.

I love the Westin, but for some reason, I feel this particular property fell short. While I appreciated the familiar lovely scent of the hotel and the fact that the room was clean, it feels this needs a refresh. The hallways felt dark and the doors looked old. Odd that only 3 elevators on my side were servicing 27 floors. And the staff wasn’t the most pleasant. Nice that there was a restaurant onsite, and the location can’t be beat. Still a solid stay but it didn’t feel like a Westin.
Worst hotel bed ever. It squeaked constantly and was mushy. Isnt the Westin supposed to have heavenly beds? Room was spacious but showed major signs of wear - chipped paint on all furniture etc.
Location is fabulous but won’t stay there again until they update the rooms.
Our stay at The Westin Michigan Avenue Chicago was outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome, and the check-in process was quick and efficient, allowing us to get settled right away.
One thing that really stood out was how accommodating the hotel was with our request for a non-pet room due to allergies. The team took extra precautions before our arrival, including shampooing the room, and it was spotless, fresh, and spacious. That level of customer service made a big difference and showed they truly care about their guests.
The location couldn't be better. You're right on Michigan Avenue with so many attractions and restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed being just a short walk from 360 Chicago Observation Deck, and having The Cheesecake Factory right next door was an added bonus. Shopping, dining, and sightseeing were all easily accessible without needing transportation.
If you're looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with exceptional service and one of the best locations in downtown Chicago, I highly recommend The Westin Michigan Avenue Chicago. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to the Windy City.
Not on par with the Westin Marriott brand. Run down hotel, could hear full conversations of people in adjoining room. Had a few strange interactions with one of the concierge workers named Deborah. She called our room twice while we were trying to put our baby to bed to ask if we had complained about not having a crib in our room upon arrival (we did have a crib, we never complained to the front desk). It was very odd, 2 calls from her past 9 pm. I found it disconcerting that a worker would call our room multiple times to accuse us of complaining about her. Won’t stay at the Westin Michigan ave again.
So I get there and I noticed paint peeling off in the shower for 400 a night you think they would have done better so then they give me a new room with a coupon for a free drink..get the second room and paint it peeling next to the toilet and the shower curtain was dirty and the soap dispenser fell off the wall when I went to use it
Well located on mag mile. About 15 minute cab to the loop. Room was spacious and clean. Average toiletries and furnishings. Gym was fine and not too crowded.
Worst part was room service - menu was extremely limited and was delivered in a take out bag, take out trays and was microwaved and undercooked. Really gross.
Note they charge $37 ($30 plus tax) destination fee which $15 can go to food and beverage.
Taxi stand out front very convenient.

I manage hotels and resorts for a living and I am often on the road. I stayed at this property for a week and the hotel itself is wonderful, however it is the staff that sets it apart. Adriana S. Was my housekeeper every day and her friendly smile and helpful attitude was amazing. She worked around my schedule and I understand how challenging that can be in busy days.
Your night audit Candice was so friendly as well. I came back each night after long meetings and she made sure I had waters and everything I needed.
Such a great team!
always very good
