What I loved about my stay at this hotel for the ODF conference in April 2026 was the service. I want to give a shout-out to Leroy, who went above and beyond to personally deliver a food item to me the next day after the hotel didn't have it the first day I asked. I had completely forgotten about it by the time it was being delivered to me personally. I felt cared for and like I was getting level 10 service because of his thoughtfulness in remembering. Other staff were also very friendly and hospitable throughout my stay. I can't recommend this hotel enough!
The Omni Hotel is beautiful and full of amenities. However, after being in the room, it felt a little like the Gilded Age. Everything looks beautiful and fancy but there is definitely room for improvements. All of the lamps flickered. A pillow and towel had stains. In order to have free wi-fi, you had to sign up for an e-mail list, otherwise you had to pay.
The location was great and it was very quiet. Just another lesson in hotel travel. If you want a reliable stay, stick with the Hilton and the Marriott.
Old world opulence vibe combined with present day best practices.

Beautiful, Classic hotel. The Omni William Penn truly is elegant and luxurious. We enjoyed all of our time there
I went to school in Pittsburgh and always used to look at the William Penn as The Plaza Hotel of Pittsburgh. When I found out I was going to stay there for work, the child in me felt like Eloise from the famous books!
My wife and I celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary at the same place where we spent our wedding night, the beautiful William Penn. Returning after all these years made the occasion especially meaningful, and the hotel exceeded our expectations.
The location is fantastic, with many great restaurants and attractions within walking distance, in addition to the excellent on-site dining options. The hotel itself is elegant, comfortable, and full of historic charm.
What truly made our stay unforgettable was the exceptional service. Victoria and Kayla went above and beyond to help us celebrate this special milestone. Their thoughtful gifts, complimentary upgrades, and personalized amenities made us feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated.
Thank you to the entire team for helping us create new memories in a place that already held such a special place in our hearts. We highly recommend the William Penn and look forward to returning again.
We were expecting a pleasant stay at this hotel, but were quite disappointed. First, the Wi-Fi connection in our room was horrible. When it worked, it was very slow, but it continually kicked us off the Internet. We asked for help three times with no improvement. I had work that had to get done during the trip, so the poor service kept us from doing some of the things we wanted to do in Pittsburgh. Second, a vagrant pursued me in the hotel lobby. I had never before experienced a panhandler in the lobby of a hotel. Three, we had problems with a toilet that did not flush properly. Not something one would expect from a hotel in this price range. We reported these issues multiple times. No one seemed to care.
The Omni William Penn is beautiful. The last time I was there everything looked so dreary and old. My only complaint is that the William Penn Place entrance is not handicap accessible. I arrived very late with a suitcase and a cane and had to figure out how to maneuver the stairs.
I thought the hotel was exceptionally beautiful. Joel checked me in and was very professional and dressed professionally. It's important that men that work at the front desk emulate the sophistication of the hotel...tradition and proper decorum.
It was so serene. We enjoyed having a gift shop, bakery, coffee shop (so happy it was NOT a Starbucks) tavern, breakfast room and speakeasy. However the speakeasy is not open during the week which was a disappointment. The hotel was gorgeous and my room on the 15th floor overlooked the Union Building and it was beautiful to look out at night. Our room was quiet, no doors slamming, and no noise. What a perfect stay.
We walked to the Union for breakfast, stumbled across the theater DT and bought last minute Great Gatsby rush tickets for 49 dollars each. The theater is gorgeous. We also caught the train to the field last minute to catch a Pirates game. The train was super convenient to the hotel. I'd stay again!
Sehr schöne Einrichtung, zuvorkommende Mitarbeiter, sehr gute Lage.
From our arrival…. The doorman, and valet parking was super friendly. And the hotel was a wow with its architecture and beautiful decor
Explanation at check in that we need our cards for lifts and loo!!…. We thought the lifts were broken!….
Welcoming staff, grandeur of the hotel, cleanliness,
excellent atmosphere
Parking
Hotel claims to be high quality but the standards and service are a joke. The after party on floor 17 was playing music so loud our room and floor were shaking. Multiple people called the front desk who said they could do nothing because the “sales” team sold in the party. My family paid for multiple rooms over multiple nights and it felt so disruptive to gaslight us over our desire for sleep and sound control. I’ve never seen a hotel have such little respect for guests.
