Strand Hotel is a perfect stay in the best location for your stay in Stockholm
Pros:

Great reception and loungearea with a wonderful view over Nybroviken. Arrive after midnight and kindly received by the night portier getting a power boost for my I-phone. Great breakfast the following day after a good night sleep in my confy bed. Rooms smaller but works well as I hade the same view from my window over the Nybroviken with its steamliners as well as the Royal Swedish Theatre Dramaten. Great stay in perfect location !

Cons:

There is a lot of good values athe this hotel. However, what I really miss is a proper desk for writing purposes with room for my laptop as well as reading and writing. Maybe Stockholm is getting more and more into a famous tourist destination as the Swedes lost control over the national carrier SAS. Copenhagen is taking over when it comes to business with a much better carrier commute to Europe and the UK. Still I would like to have a desk for work on my business trips to Stockholm.

Good but please choose your room wisely !
Pros:

Localized well between Gamlan and museum island
Worth to have the breakfast which is excellent

Cons:

My room had a view from the inside of the hotel and you could see what other guests from other rooms were doing …
Next time I will ask for a room with an outside view
