Great customer service
Pros:

I want to give a shout out to Monica at registration and reception. I arrived in the evening and the first room I was given had some issues. Monica immediately took charge, found me another room and escorted me to the room to make sure it was ok. This is what great customer service looks like. Thank you.

Recepcionista descortés y ventanas sucias
Cons:

Pros:

I never write bad reviews. This place is unhospitable. Outside of the subjective bad vibes/awful decor/cruise ship appeal/dark and crammed rooms with gaudy art - this place is non functioning. The wifi is slower than an airplane, 2/3 elevators weren't functioning during my stay which resulted in a 20 minute roundtrip just to the lobby. The phone in my room doesn't work. One of the (public) staircases is half built and looks like the back alley of the dark rooms - a dirty narrow hallway that feels like you shouldn't be there. Connected to the lobby. I travel for work and this is the second to worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Everyone is trying to switch from this hotel. Everything about it is soul sucking and lifeless. The energy of the rooms is seriously dark and eerie. The staff is lovely and none of this is their fault. Whoever makes high up decisions for this place needs to change everything about it. I really do hate leaving negative reviews but I feel the need to warn someone to avoid booking here.

One of the best in Chicago. Classic!
Pros:

There was not one thing I found to fault at this classic Chicago hotel. The staff were TOP NOTCH (hotel, valet, restaurant) (with a special shout out to Tommy Van). The room was clean and VERY comfortable. I enjoyed every minute of my stay here and hope to be back soon. I would live here if I could!

Linda. Ubicación excelente. Buen lounge.
Pros:

El Lounge art decó con 3 niveles, divino.

Cons:

Amazing hotel and staff
Pros:

We absolutely loved our stay at The Allegro Sonesta. The location was perfect for our wedding at City Hall as it is right across the street. We cannot thank the staff enough. Both Adam and Hetal Jain were so welcoming. The service was great, the hotel decor and the atmosphere was all just incredible. Absolutely recommend the Lemon Iced Pancakes for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.
