The building is amazing and the staff are always there to help.
We paid for a non smoking suite and got a smoking stinky suite. Their hallways all smell smoke and when we complained to the front desk the reply is this is Chicago!

The hotel has a locker 24/7, which helped us a lot since our flight was at night
The bathroom sink is very very small

I loved the hotel décor and my suite was amazing. The bed was comfortable. The shower had great water pressure and the jetted tub felt wonderful after a long day of walking. The hotel staff were professional and friendly and made our stay more enjoyable. Especially the older bellman who helped us when we checked in and out. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner and drinks at Legato.
I didn't like that I couldn't see out of the windows of my room. They paned over the original windows and both windows were dirty. I had three big windows in my room and I couldn't see clearly out of any of them. I also didn't like having to go to the lobby for coffee in the morning. I would have preferred having a coffee machine in my room. My mother-in-law was in a wheelchair and to get to the coffee you had to take stairs down from the lobby and then up to the room the coffee was in. I think the coffee should be accessible to people with disabilities and should be in the main lobby.

The alarm went off at 6:00 AM. I should’ve checked it - but dang. The hotel then sent up a cheese plate as an apology. That was lovely - but they knocked once and a male staff member walked immediately into the room. I had to shut the door in his face as he tried to walk in as I was just getting out of the shower and undressed. That’s extremely alarming and inappropriate.

I traveled with elderly family who have mobility issues. We chose this hotel for it's location next to the Cadillac Theater and it did not disappoint. The parking garage associated with our stay is very close and easy to access. The rooms were great. We were upgraded to a suite at no extra cost. Convenient location, restaurant made life easier
We originally chose one of our rooms specifically with two beds in it. One of the original guests on the list could not attend, so the need for the additional bed changed somewhat but we still would've preferred our booking. Two elderly people that would normally have their own bed had to share. It worked out but had our original plans not been modified we would've been disappointed with our stay, as our only provided option was for one of us to sleep on a pullout couch/bed. If people ask for specific accommodations please make sure what they reserved is available. It should not be the guests responsibility to accommodate the hotel's shortcomings as it applies to overbooking or not having the correct availability.
Picking up elderly people while double parked in front of hotel was challenging but it is Chicago and traffic is always busy.
