We arrived before Check In and were told we had been upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite it was not quite ready but we could partake of some Champagne in the lobby lounge while we waited for our room.
The suite 1360 had an entry hallway with the bedroom on the left and the lounge room to the right, the suite was beautifully presented and immaculately clean the colour scheme is soft yellow/golds creams and blues, in a french style with crystal chandeliers, the furnishings are high end, with luxury bedding including a pillow menu to choose your prefered type, there are plump soft towels and terry bathrobes with ample bathroom inclusions including shampoo, conditioner, liquid bath/shower gel, bars of soap, make-up remover pads, ear buds, combs, shavers, toothbrushes etc, the bath tub has a pot of bath salts.
The huge bathroom features a double vanity sink with marble top, a large seperate shower with a small corner seat with both a rainshower head and hand held, the seperate toilet has also a seperate bidet and towels provided, the bathtub is large enough for 2.
There is a seperate dressing room area and ample storage a built in safe.
The bedroom features a small refrigerator with stocked mini bar which was included, a makeup vanity/seating area with magnifying lighted mirror, a credenza with a coffee pod machine & selection of pods, a good selection of teas, kettle, tea pot, cups, glasses, etc.
There are 2 televisions one in the bedroom and one in the lounge, pleanty of seating, these rooms are ideal if you are travelling with lots of friends or family as you would only need for one of the couples to get a 1 bed suite as the lounge room would be ideal for a gathering.
The lobby lounge was serving alcoholic beverages from 12 pm to 10 pm including Champagne.
There is nothing I did not like about this hotel and experience.
Nothing. Was not treated as customers should be.
Counter checking in did nothing to make our stay easy. Instead was told I was rule by assistant customer relations, not even a duty manager to give me a full explanation of why my room was not kept clean with fresh towels etc......
Very disappointed with such 5 stars hotel.
I stayed at the Shangri-La with my husband and our two young boys this month. It is a rare combination of five star luxury and family-friendly services. The buffet at the Line Restaurant with its extensive selection and dedicated kids' play area was a particular hit with our two, as was the beautiful pool, splash park, walking trail past the koi and terrapins, and Bubs play centre (very convenient for killing time during spells of inclement weather). Little touches like a beautiful tent bed set up in a window alcove in the deluxe family room, and the free laundry and pantry services for families, contributed to the easy experience for parents as well as kids. All staff from managers to cleaners were knowledgeable, professional and friendly - special shout-out to Paul at Waterfall restaurant where we spent several very enjoyable lunchtime and evening meals. Will definitely return.
Staff, meals, the pool, all very good
Nothing except the 2 befs were basicalky singles and the roll out bed couodnt be slept on as it was way too hard. Msde it difficult with 2 adults, 2 kids.
I have always wanted to stay at the SHANGRILA but affordability for me was always an issue. We were in Singapore celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and decided to spoil ourselves. I mentioned our anniversary to our check in lady Jas. She organised a free breakfast and cake in our room. Thanks so much for spoiling us. The property is gorgeous. The beds very comfy and the location is great! Super clean too.
Thanks for your hospitality Shangrila
Incredible service and very impressive resort and room
Great amenities.
There were no plug-in points near the bed which doesn’t make sense. The front desk staff at the valley wing need better training - didn’t feel welcomed by them at all or the staff at the lounge. Won’t recommend. I had booked a room for two guests for the duration of my stay and was entitled to free breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktails meant for two guests. My second guest arrived later and when we went for breakfast, the guy at the valley wing breakfast room said the room was only booked for one (his tone was rude). Later I found out that the front staff adjusted the number of room occupants to 1 when I clearly said that that I and another person were occupying the room. The second guest had checked out earlier so I brought a friend to have afternoon tea with which was part of my package but I had to pay for my friend because they were not the second guest. I didn’t understand why the valley staff were so nitpicky over such details. When I was checking out, the staff almost erroneously charged me for a spa treatment that I had already paid for. Keep your receipts in case they accuse you of not paying.
Food was ok, but not great. I ordered room service every day during my day and sadly the best order was the fish and chips. Overall, not a pleasant stay.
Some one pooed in the pool and closed it for the entire day. And don’t forget your physical credit card…you can’t do anything in the hotel in terms of charging without it! It’s 2026….get digital Shangri La!!!!
We loved the facilities for the children, particularly the splash playground
Breakfast was fantastic. Staff were fantastic. You just stay in the Valley Wing though as you get so much more. Better restaurants, afternoon tea, evening canapés and a bar with free flowing drinks until 10pm each evening.
Couldn’t find anything.
We booked the Shangri-La for 3 nights for our honeymoon. We opted for the Valley Wing and were so glad we did. Do not book the other two wings - this one is exceptional.
We arrived at 10am and our room was already ready. We had a deluxe Double. Check in was very easy and a private entrance meant it was peaceful and quiet. We were shown to our room and it was spacious and immaculate. A lovely little letter to welcome us.
The benefit of staying in the Valley Wing means you have access to numerous inclusive benefits. A complimentary champagne afternoon tea each day from 2pm, complimentary (and exceptional) canapés at 5pm. Then complimentary drinks in the lobby bar until 10pm. The champagne is free flowing (Veuve Cliquot) and other cocktails and drinks are all included as well.
The service is impeccable and it really made our first 3 nights of our honeymoon.
It has been a wonderful and memorable stay in Singapore. Absolutely nothing to fault. Keep it up.
