It was a lovely stay overall.
Pros:

It was a beautiful location and a very nice clean room . Staff was helpful and friendly.

Cons:

The ac in the room made a grinding noise that was a little loud and our iron did not work. They do hit you for some additional fees that considering the price seemed unnecessary. Parking was expensive.

The staff are very friendly and attentive.
Pros:

Beautiful historic property near the beach.

Cons:

There is only one small pool which is lovely but not ample enough for the amount of hotel guests. It would be nice to have an adult pool.

Cons:

Hyatt double-billed for our room
which we booked through Booking.
com over a year ago. Have not resolved the problem after 2days.
We had disappointing accommodations when we requested an ocean
View, we were given a 3rd floor
room overlooking a construction
site. Additionally, the elevator was
not working for the 3rd floor.

A perfect stop while passing through Santa Barbara!
Pros:

The front desk staff was amazing. We arrived early and they checked us in without a problem. Gave us lots of local recommendations. Beachfront property, beautiful interior. Pool was heated, hot tub was lovely. I didn’t try the restaurant on site.

Cons:

The hotel itself didn’t feel like a “resort”. I didn’t love that there was a resort fee tacked on to the end of the stay, I feel that could have been included in the price up front. But not that big of a deal!

Cons:

I didn’t appreciate added charges on both days for gift shop items that were never purchased. I had to call back twice to have them removed from my bill. Unacceptable.

Great location/relaxing atmosphere
Pros:

Just across the road from beach, Mar Monte is in a great location. The lobby has great ambience and is great for hanging out and relaxing. We were able to switch to a room with bath tub after checking in to a shower-only room and it was only because of availability.

Best Hyatt Location & Exceptional Experience
Pros:

Great location! Friendly and helpful hotel personnel, easy check in/out, lovely cozy outdoor seating, clean and comfortable room and bedding, beautiful ocean views, EV charging stations, everything you’d hope for in a hotel. Walking distance to many restaurants , the pier and directly in front of the beach. Thank you Hyatt! We will be back!

If noise doesn't bother you, it will be fine
Pros:

Great! Except put in second floor next to elevator, which were the 2 requests we asked to avoid. I could not sleep with noise all night.
