The location is great for central London and walking distance from the main stations. The overall appearance and rooms were great, a little dated, but comfortable.
I had asked about early check in and was told to ask on the day of arrival at the hotel, which wasn’t overall helpful. They did let us leave our bags which was appreciate.
We did have to report that there was hair in the bed and also the shower of the same room couldn’t be used due to a leaking light above it (this was leaking yellow liquid) and was pretty consistent with and without the light being turned on. When we reported it, images were taken of the issue from our phones and we were told a manager would be in touch. I’m still waiting to hear from said manager regarding the issue. When we were asked why we hadn’t reported it earlier, we informed them it was because no one had been at the front desk, which the staff member didn’t seem thrilled about due to it being a 24/7 desks service.

Staff at reception and bar were very good and always spoke to us and had lots of humourous chats especially Umama and Sadokat. The barmen, both of them also very friendly and enjoyed conversation. The cleaning team and other staff also very polite. We always keep our bedrooms tidy in all the hotels we have stayed in over the years and only asked for top ups of teas, coffees and toilet paper, but at the Kingsley if you don't require your room serviced you get a £7 vouchers for each day service not required, which is excellent and I think we had about £42 off our bar bill. I have stayed here twice before in 1980 and 2022 and it's perfect for Euston station and for getting around.
Having a double room which equals 2 people but having only one chair especially in a 4* hotel and many hotels do this, the only sitting option for the other person is on the bed, so that is an irritant.
Breakfast-wise the buffet bacon seemed to be cooked in a complete row so the bacon was slightly cardboardy with white bits so probably commercial rather than 'butchers' bacon and no rind option of 'crispy' Sausages were very good, generally although not a huge option of choice, but for us cooked breakfast and fruit was sufficient, so no real criticism.
Sehr nettes Personal. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr zentral. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten lassen sich recht schnell mit der Tube, Bus oder zu Fuß erreichen. Das Frühstück hatte alles zu bieten.
Das beabsichtigte Fehlen einer Klobürste ist anfangs schon sehr verwirrend 😅.
