I stayed at the Westin Tysons Corner recently - two nights, two rooms. I wanted to share my experience because some of the harsher reviews I saw online didn’t match what I encountered.
My room was clean, everything worked as expected, and every staff member I interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming.
The hotel isn’t perfect, but it delivered a comfortable and reliable stay. My only minor critique is that a few of the newer furniture pieces didn’t quite match the rest of the room’s décor. It looks like the property is in the middle of updating certain elements, and the mix of old and new is noticeable—but not disruptive.
Overall, I had a good stay and would return. If you’re looking for a clean, convenient hotel with kind staff and solid comfort, this Westin is a dependable choice.

How does the Westin not have fridges? I tried to order two cokes because my QR code wasn’t working and this is the Westin hotel so it’s supposed to be as much as accommodating so I tried to call them and order the soda. The lady on the phone had an attitude I had bypass that she said we’ll have the rest. I’ll call you. The restroom called me. I said can I have two Pepsi‘s and if it’s not cold, I do not want it. They sent me two Pepsi‘s and one cup of ice I found that kind of rude and the Pepsi was very hot so I said ma’am I said if it’s not cold, I don’t want it. They called me three times to tell me there was a five dollar charge. This is the Westin if somebody’s ordering they don’t care about the charge. They were very rude about two Pepsi’s. How does the western hotel? Where is the food and beverage manager that doesn’t have fridges in this whole big hotel why can’t they keep their sodas cold who wants to drink hot Coke? This is hospitality. There was no hospitality in the hotel. The front desk was very rude and the restaurant was very rude

Had an unpleasant experience with gentleman that check me in. He was trying to say that room wasn’t prepaid. I told him I went through booking.com. I had to show him my bank transaction that showed the money was taken from my account. I also asked about parking because he wasn’t trying to tell me. Just saying to scan parking code and it was $15 a day. He neglected to tell me about the in and out option. I didn’t find out until after an hour and half when I left to get something to eat that it charged me $15.99. I had to come to front desk to get the rest of my evening parking validated so that I wouldn’t be charged again
This Westin was a decent location to get in and out of Northern Va and DC. It is about 1.5 miles away from the nearest metro station but they have a shuttle that takes you within a 2-3 miles radius so we utilized that amenity to facilitate our travel. The room was average, but the Westin heavenly bed linens are always enjoyable. The hallways do not have air conditioning, which made for uncomfortable access in and out of the room. Overnight parking is an extra 15.99 charge per night with no valet service. The landscaping around the hotel and general area is overgrown and not maintained appropriately and while that did not impact the quality of our stay, it was indicative of the general decline of the area. For titanium elite members, breakfast was included in the stay, which was great. The employees in the breakfast area were helpful and friendly. We did interact with a couple of employees at the front desk who were not very gracious and therefore I do not envision us staying here again.

Location and access
The reception intake staff was incredibly rude - upon check in advised there were no rooms; then made me call Booking.com to validate the booking I had already paid for- then kept them on hold for 5 mins before speaking with them only to have me cancel the booking.com reservation and book directly with the desk: this all happened for a room for my frail parents (80 and 88 years old) after midnight. Have never experienced this kind of service from the Westin.
