Dinner was lovely and the Quarter deck staff were very accommodating, check in staff were lovely and room was clean and comfortable. Young guy at the pool bar was not very friendly, no greeting, no please or thank you, just seemed very lacking in any customer service, we didn't feel very welcome! other than that we enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Cons:

As above. pool bar guy not very welcoming. Was a special day for my daughters birthday and he seemed more interested in our proving our validity for being there and checking her ID (thats fine with us but manners would be nice!)

Pros:

Rooms are clean and comfy! Quarterdeck is nice , food and drinks are good

Cons:

Food is very overpriced and only pre mixed drinks at the pool ! It is also getting a bit run down.

Did not love this hotel
Pros:

Lovely staff, close to Mag Island ferry, easy parking, good coffee from breakfast restaurant.
The rooftop drinks and dinner at the next door hotel were a highlight.

Cons:

The rooms have no windows to open, which in a Townsville winter seemed so horrible, relying on an old clunking freezing aircon for air. Our Seaview was an ugly grey roof with the sea beyond it. Our room was opposite the cleaning space and above that was this awful clunking noise that made the room unbearable. I can’t believe no one has complained before me and to pay $750 for 2 nights in this airless noisy room felt painful. Our family was across 2 rooms so I couldn’t ask to move and the hotel was full because of the super cars. Do yourself a favour and pay the extra money and stay next door.
Check-in was long winded with paying deposits separately for 2 rooms. If you book online you have our details, just have it done.
