Pros:

Everything! It's our favourite hotel.

Cons:

No USB ports in the room for phone charger and no safe for personal items. Could really use some wall hooks for purses, towels etc.

THE ROOM, MY ROOM WAS TIRED , BUT THE WORST THING WAS MY SHEETS WERE NOT CLEAN , FRESH UNWASHED BLOOD WAS ON MT SHEET . I TOLD THE HOTEL , THEY JUST SHRUGGED AND SAID WE CANNOT GIVE YOU A REFUND .

Was there for 4 nights and didn’t have our room turned over once. Asked every afternoon and was told the staff would circle back. Had to go find a laundry cart every day to find clean towels. Also it was obvious something was wrong when we checked in as they had to call over manager and it took a while. we were initially put into a handicap accessible room (had to crouch down to shower) and room looked out at garbage cans. When we brought this to the attention of the hotel they admitted that there was an issue and it was not the level of room we paid for. It was as if they had initially tried to trick us. They moved us on the 2nd day but it would have been better if they were just up front about the issue.

Pros:

Great location, staff all very welcoming and informative, room clean, good size with great views of the harbour, harbour side restaurant was good for breakfast and dinner. Would definitely visit again.

Very pleasant stay. Our kids loved having the pool right at our door and the staff was very nice.
Cons:

From what we could ascertain, there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Having one would help with de-fogging the mirror after hot showers and more importantly, getting rid of nasty smells after toilet use!

Also, having to pay for parking on top of the room fee.

Terrible attitude at check in
Pros:

Terrible check in attitude by Nhi, the front desk person and her manager Jeff Ellis.
Arrived at 3:35pm room is not ready for a harbor view. And if I want to check in now she wants to downgrade not upgrade. 101 hospitality is not met at all levels.

Pleasant but lacking in promised ammenities
Pros:

The location..excellent..the restaurant at hotel ….breakfast was terrible….our room was clean..bathroom was clean and very nice…view in room was great..headboard was in rough shape on king bed..bed however was comfy..sheets and towels were lovely..

Cons:

The head board could be changed as it was really in rough shape..the couch in room was stained.we had no pool or hot tub during our stay..we both have arthritis and one thing we had counted on was soaking in the hot tub at end of busy days…nothing was offered to us to compensate…it was extremely disappointing.

Not up to Marriott standards
Pros:

There are a lot of hotels under the Marriott banner and they are all of different qualities. When I see the Marriott name on the building, I have a certain expectation. This location did not meet the standard I expected. Starting with the lobby. Nothing special. Restaurant is basically a pub and the room was small. I must say that the most important things I need in a room is clean towels and clean sheets and they did have that but there are other things that make a stay enjoyable. Like thick walls which room 639 did not have. I could hear the guy talking in the next room, his snoring and alarm clock in the morning. There was also a huge gap between the floor and the door which let a lot of light in during the night. Bathroom also had very poor lighting. Overall like I said, just not up to the Marriott name.
