A pleasant stay in Chester. Plenty to see and do, and plenty of places to have a drink and a meal

You couldn't fault the location. It was ideal for whatever you needed to do in Chester.

Cons:

Unfortunately there was an inconsiderate couple in the room next to ours, and on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning decided to let the door slam at 4.00am, with no consideration for anybody, so how many people they woke up I don't know. And on Thursday morning at 7.00/7.30, a brewery delivery with metal kegs were being rolled along the concrete outside, due to having a delivery, so not a good couple of nights.

Worried at first but had committed so stayed, great vibe, great music, if you can’t beat them, up till 2 and had fun

Pros:

Great location in the city centre room was comfortable lots tea and coffee also fridge which was great the heat wave we were having at the time.
Came for the races short walk away and party vibes at the hotel afterwards on the Friday night.

Cons:

Just a little outdated but didn't effect our stay

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, bwd too, and the bathroom was modern and big. The location is excellent—right in the heart of the city, yet tucked away in a quiet courtyard.
The hotel did warn us before that there would be loud music on weekend evenings. However, with the windows closed, it wasn't a problem and didn't disturb our sleep. On weekdays, the area is perfectly quiet.
Overall, we would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay here again.

Cons:

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was very negative. I felt disappointed and misled because one of the most important facilities I specifically checked before choosing the hotel was air conditioning. In hot weather, staying in a room without a working air conditioner was extremely difficult and unacceptable.
My room was located on the top floor, directly under the roof, which made the heat even more intense. In addition, the hotel is located in an area where live concerts take place in the evenings until around 2 a.m., and even after that people continued gathering outside until approximately 4 a.m. Opening the windows was not an option, because with the windows open the music was extremely loud and made it impossible to rest properly.
What disappointed me the most was the attitude of the staff. At first, they gave the impression that the air conditioner simply had not been switched on. Later, I was told that it was broken. However, there was already a fan in the room, which suggests that the problem with the air conditioning was known beforehand and that it had most likely not been working for some time.
I find it unfair that guests are not informed about such an important issue in advance. If I had known that the air conditioning was not working, especially during the summer heat and in a top-floor room under the roof, I would not have chosen this hotel. When booking, I relied on all the facilities and amenities listed in the description, and air conditioning was one of the most important ones.
What makes the situation even more disappointing is that the hotel did not offer any compensation or discount for this inconvenience. The hotel contacted me again shortly before my arrival to inform me about the live music, but I was never warned about the non-functioning air conditioner — a much more serious issue during hot weather.

Pros:

Came 6th July for 3 nights from minute we arrived nicky couldn't do enough, Paul the manager extremely helpful. Location is spot on . Will definitely be returning 😌

Convenient central location with everything needed for a comfortable stay.
Pros:

2pm checkin time is great and was able to leave luggage on day of departure as I had a 6pm train. Worked really well for 2 days of walking the wales coastal path up to Prestatyn and using it as a “hub”,returning by bus or train each day. Fridge in room was really useful.

Cons:

Couldn’t get the shower temperature down from very hot (probably fine for most people) but luckily there was a shower attachment in the bath that worked
