Beautiful location, beautiful property
Nice people, nice staff
New public areas like Fig restaurant & Bar were appreciated. Everyting else was rather dated.
Room was dated, seems years since last refurbishment - in particular shower and single vanity in a suite which is not per brand standards - we were travelling with 2 adults and a 16 year old - the double double beds were positioned against the walls, in such a way that two persons sleeping on the bed would mean that one would have to climb over the other to get out of bed, we were offered an upgraded suite but had to pay the whole difference. The whole sleeping arrangement was delivered with two robes, two sets of towels so clearly the room is intended for two adults and not three or four as a double double implies.... we dont think it fit for purpose.
It is an oasis in a busy city. The service was excellent.
Nothing.
Posizione , tutta struttura nel suo complesso, palestra ben attrezzata, piscina, camere spaziose
Colazione non compresa e se consumata al ristorante è molto cara.
From check-in all the way through check-out all staff of the hotel were amazing, not one single complaint! Not only were they professional, courteous and friendly, they went above and beyond to assist with any requests or needs. The location was perfect and the view from the room (9th floor 935/937) I have never enjoyed such an amazing view of the California coast. Aida from housekeeping was the best! Prior to end of her shift, she always made sure to knock on door to see if we needed anything for room before she left. I have always traveled to California yearly for my vacations but normally went to Laguna Beach, Newport or Del Mar. After this wonderful experience and most enjoyable stay, the Miramar will now be my new yearly vacation destination. It offers everything anyone could want for rest and relaxation without having to leave the hotel. If you want to go to Beverly Hills for a walk on Rodeo Dr. or to enjoy the finest restaurants, it is only a 20-25 minute drive depending on day and/or time. I have done a lot of traveling in the past 55 years and I must say this was the best hotel, staff and experience I have encountered to date,
The only "complaint" I would have to share is I don't mind the need to charge a daily resort fee, however, to add a daily parking fee of $80 per night to the $50 daily resort fee is a little overboard, especially for a 6 night stay. I can appreciate minimum parking capacity and the need to charge, however, a reduced/combined fee of $90-$100 per night (resort & parking) for those who travel by car and are staying over 2 nights should be considered as an incentive/reward for those like myself who book extended stays.
Very disappointed with our stay
I would like to express my total disappointment and frustration with our experience at your hotel.
My husband and I booked a King Deluxe room with ocean view. However, we were given a room on the 4th floor with only a distant and partial view of the ocean, which was not what we had booked or expected.
At check-in, we reminded the gentleman at the reception desk (the bald gentleman with an earring in his left ear) about our reservation and politely explained our concern. Unfortunately, he completely ignored our request and simply told us that this was our room, without making any effort to listen to us or find a solution.
The photos and description on Booking.com clearly show the type of room and the ocean view that are included with this category. This was precisely the reason why we chose and booked this room.
We were extremely disappointed and upset. We paid for a King Deluxe room with an ocean view, and what we received did not match what was presented when we made our reservation.
What made the experience even more disappointing was the lack of attention and willingness to help from the reception staff. We would have appreciated at least an explanation or an attempt to find a solution.
Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling very disappointed and undervalued as guests. We sincerely hope that the hotel will take this feedback seriously and review how room assignments and guest concerns are handled in the future.
