The staff and team here are truly exceptional.
Pros:

I’ve stayed at Kanvaz twice, first in 2022 and again in 2026 and I still can’t say enough good things about the team. The staff there (and hotel security/door men) were TRULY EXCEPTIONAL. Every single person we interacted with was warm, attentive and GENUINELY welcoming. The staff, they are the heart and soul of this hotel.

During this trip, we also stayed at another hotel, TUI in Canggu and my partner and I actually felt a little “homesick” after leaving Kanvaz. We actually missed a hotel. That’s how much of a difference the people here make.

After four years, I could naturally see some slight signs of the property’s age but that’s to be expected. However, everything was still well maintained. The hotel is clearly cared for and it still feels clean, warm and welcoming.

I also have to give a special mention to the door men/ hotel security team at the front lobby. They were attentive, helpful and genuinely warm. It’s these small interactions that make such a lasting impression. I feel like I’m going in circles but I cannot reiterate this enough.

Kanvaz is absolutely worth every penny. While there are many beautiful hotels in Bali, it’s the people here who make this place truly special and what truly sets it apart is its people. Their hospitality is outstanding and THEY’RE the reason I’ll happily return again.

Cons:

One thing I did miss was the pastry shop. Back in 2022, I had one of the few best pastries I’ve ever eaten there. It has since been replaced with a general café, which was a little disappointing as it was one of the things I was looking forward to revisiting.

That said, I completely understand that perhaps the pastry shop wasn’t sustainable and had to make a decision from there

the staff was outstanding - they were all 100% friendly - the service was second to none - and i felt safe all the time.

Cons:

every thing was amazing - if i had to say something negative it would be that it would have been great to have some sort of information folder in each room - to tell you about the facilities - also just the last thing - my room was not ready by check in time of 2pm -= i had to wait slightly when i arrived which was after 4.30

Beautiful pool along the entire stretch of the hotel rooms . Close to the port if you wanna transfer to Nusa Penida. A wide choice of restaurant and shops within a walking distance. Great breakfast. The staff was went out of their way to accommodate us by preparing takeaway breakfast at short notice. 💕

Cons:

Limited privacy as we could hear through the walls. Not a deal breaker as it was our friends in the other room and we didn't spend much time in the rooms.
