The one elevator wasn’t working for the first 3 days of our stay making for long waits to the 11th floor. Pool was full of sand and not cleaned daily. Homeless couple camped out at pool and cabana wasn’t pleasant.
Location and some of the staff’s good attitude
Old property. Noisy AC. Requires a complete renovation. Slow internet. Stained and broken furniture. When asked the General Manager for a specific recommendation about the area, his answer was: Google it!
Customer Service. I had a little issue with the room, but Dominic the (Manager) went above and beyond to resolve the issue. Really cool guy. Sheraton Oceanfront is very clean and inviting. Love the ocean view. Definitely will be going back for my next trip. 😊

It was close to the beach and a lot of things to do within the area.
Our neighbor opened one of the middle doors that would connect the rooms and banged on our door because I laughed too loud.

I didn’t like the 250 hold on my account for “damages” just in case which is understandable but also I don’t feel like it’s necessary and the parking fee is inconvenient since I’m already paying for a room there.
The building was nice.
My room did not have a balcony as requested, no window to look out, no fitted sheet on bed, no soap in container,no pillars for sleeper couch, curfew at 9:30 pm. It was not good but could have been worst. I
We had originally booked four nights but immediately checked out after the first. I stay at Marriott a lot and am a Titanium Elite member but we moved to the Hilton down the street! We got in late from our flight and weren't greeted at all by the front desk, they just looked up at us when we walked in and said, "yeah?" then the room we got to the whole floor and room smelled strongly of smoke; when I asked if they could move us they said "No, but hopefully someone can clean tomorrow and it will get better.." THEN we were woken up at 1:30a from the room beside ours blasting music - we called the front desk and they said "Thanks for telling us" but nothing happened, we messaged the desk again 2am and they replied at 7:30am asking if it had stopped.. There was never a point where anywhere apologized for the inconvenience or issues or even seemed to care that we cut our visit short by 3 nights. At check out the young lady said she would make a note for their manager to follow up but still no outreach from anyone. Incredibly disappointed. If you're going to Virginia Beach, PICK A DIFFERENT HOTEL!
Cleanliness
Kendra told me all king suites oceanfront were on the first floor The hedges and cabanas blocked your view of the ocean So we were able to switch to a double queen on the fifth floor but she couldn't adjust the price
Walked in, saw we were put in an adjoining room, and it was just us, we didn't need to be joined rooms with anyone. The adjoining room door was flimsy. It was deadbolted and had dead bolt access on either end of the door with a very flimsy chain lock on the top of the door. The stranger next to us, if they wanted, could have undone the dead bolt, pulled the door open and looked right inside our room and there was nothing we could have done about that other than barricading that door shut by moving the dresser in front of the door. We took one look at that and stayed long enough in the room to cancel our booking and book somewhere else. Survey of the room, it was extremely unclean. The bathtub looked like it hadn't been scrubbed in years. The betting was extremely thin and matted from the inside. Like when down gets matted into clumps. I wish I had checked reviews of this place before booking. Lesson learned.
