Lovely stay in a lovely town, will be back again.
Pros:

The food was excellent, good portions and very well presented. quality produce used.
The staff were really freindly, that seems to come with the area as everyone is.
The room was comfy and clean, a little too warm, but they can't do much about the wether.

Cons:

The wi fi was non existent in our room but if you need wi fi to get by you are doing life all wrong.

Second visit of the year
Pros:

Second visit this year. Staff are fabulous, especially with the doggies, the location is superb and the food is off the scale. Well worth a visit.

A lovely, traditional hotel in a great location with very helpful and friendly staff
Pros:

The room was lovely, quiet, spacious and spotless. A fan was provided as it was still quite hot.

Cons:

The range of choices on the menu was a bit limited but the food itself was good. I had hoped to have have some local fish, for example.

Friendly staff, great location but needs updating to justify the cost.
Pros:

Friendly staff, especially at breakfast.
Great location.
Great food for evening meal.
Nice bar area and friendly bar staff.

Cons:

The road noise for our front facing room was very loud. Starts about 6am until late (busy road). No secondary glazing.
Tired and dated decor with uncomfortable bed.
The hotel is generally dog friendly. However they never offered water or bowls in the bar and lounge.
There was dog biscuits and towels in room but the cost was £15 for a night when the confirmation said £10 per stay per dog.
Overall cost for a Sunday night (even in August) was too high for the facilities and tired decor.
Entrance to the car park is narrow and it would be difficult to turn around and come out if the car park were full.

Site parking isn’t guaranteed but was good for us.
Lovely convenient river and beach walks nearby.

Cons:

Nothing to dislike.

Fab, dog-friendly hotel
Pros:

Dog-friendly bedroom suite (beautifully clean, stylish & well-equipped room, comfortable king size bed, sofa, tv, fresh milk in fridge on corridor). Dog-friendly dining room separate to main one. Lovely choices at breakfast. Friendly staff.
Only negatives- weak shower & basin has only tepid water. Bar closed around 9pm on both our nights (mid week, mid-august) & we were asked to take our drinks to the "lounge"... this was in fact the dog-friendly dining room, tables & chairs all set for breakfast!! The WHH really needs a comfy sofa/coffee table area! Parking in the yard is very tight, but there is a free car park 1 min walk away by the river.

Pros:

Great location, staff were all welcoming and friendly. Beautiful hotel. Just what we needed for some r&r.

Cons:

Our only, very small gripe, was that we would have liked the bar at the hotel to stay open a bit later. By the time we fancied a night cap, the bar was starting to or had already closed.
