Fabulous service and delicious breakfast
The location
The staff at the main reception during check in werent trained
Amazing stay with awesome room, great location, great breakfast. Highly recommend for an amazing India experience.
Had a memorable experience and wonderful time with my family
I love the lobby and vibes of the hotel and their staff members. Very friendly and welcoming.
Poor Hotel ! Overhyped property by ITC ! Worst 5 star in NCR !
Unfortunately i picked ITC Maurya for birthday celebration basis the ITC standards & the prestigious name ! This was the worst choice i could make !
The checkin started with a poor experience! Checkin executive Anshul instead of offering any upgrade ( basis Gold status with both bonvoy & itc) tried downgrading the benefits! I understand upgrades r subject to availability so not getting into that but what about for the category i actually paid for?
We reached at 2 PM - 45 mins were wasted arguing about room inclusions !
We pre-informed of arrival time & birthday!
Welcome experience - NONE , they wont even offer you drinking water , go n pick from the trolley if u want ! Checkin would take 1 hr - even if u hold gold status with ITC/bonvoy
Tower category room view - Pathetic
Pool - WORST pool i ever experienced in any 4/5 star property ! Even if construction work is going on- do pre-inform!
Breakfast - Indian breakfast is mandatory about tea/coffee - both of them were of poorest taste despite of repeatedly asking! Moreover, audacity to serve in a broken cup !
Overall the standards r of typical 3 star hotel with ZERO GUEST experience if u r into leisure travel ! This property is solely for business travellers/sponsored travellers wherein company/govt agency/sports leagues have booked! DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY IF U R LOOKING TO BOOK THIS FOR A FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE!
There r much better options in NCR !
I have stayed at ITC Maurya multiple times over the years, and while many aspects of the hotel continue to impress me, I unfortunately had a very disappointing experience at the pool area during my recent stay.
The issue was primarily with a pool staff member named Vipin, whose behavior toward my 7-year-old daughter and my wife was completely unnecessary and unpleasant. My daughter briefly stepped into the shallow pool-bed area where the water is barely ankle deep, and Vipin immediately started arguing that she was required to be in swimwear to enter that section. The problem is that there is no signage or posted rule stating this anywhere, and throughout my stays I have consistently seen guests using those pool beds without any specific swimwear requirements being enforced.
When this point was raised, the reasoning kept changing. First it was about swimwear, then suddenly it became about needing to wash feet before entering — despite my daughter’s feet being perfectly clean. He then started arguing that the area would “get dirty,” which honestly felt unreasonable considering the overall upkeep of the pool area itself. I have attached a video for reference so others can judge the cleanliness standards being maintained while such arguments were being made.
After that, the explanation shifted again to “safety concerns,” which also made little sense considering the water depth was extremely shallow, my wife was standing right there with her, and my daughter herself is a trained swimmer.
What made the situation especially disappointing was not just the rule enforcement, but the argumentative and confrontational manner in which it was handled with a child and her mother. Hospitality is not only about policies — it is also about basic courtesy, consistency, and common sense. Even after escalating the matter to the management, nothing meaningful was really done to address the situation, which made the experience even more frustrating.
On the positive side, I want to specifically appreciate the team at Pavilion restaurant, who have always been exceptional during every stay. Despite handling extremely heavy crowds and nonstop service, the staff there consistently remain warm, professional, and welcoming. Special thanks to Shailja, Rachit, Debakshi and Lalit — absolutely wonderful people who genuinely represent the hospitality standards one expects from ITC Maurya.
Communication to book transfer was good. The confirmed My 3 nights stay with a queen sized bed.
Upon arrival I was told the hotel had VIP guests (Indian ambo and Vietnam president) and they has to move my room.
Im lifetime platinum with Bonvoy and titanium this year. I was forced to moved to a smaller room outdated with 2 twin beds. I was also unable to use the lounge on floor 14.
I was offered no compensation for the downgrade. I was told the Golf Club would accommodate me for food and drinks at no charge. That didn’t happened.
I was also billed for mini bar charges from my original room, I briefly spoke with the manager early morning the second day and I hadn’t slept yet and was told I’d be taken care of.
My colleagues had all their food and drink charges comped. I was offered nothing including points for the down graded room.
I also still don’t have the stay and nights added to my Bonvoy account. I’m very been elite Bonvoy for over 20 years with over 1,300 stays and have never been treated so poorly at a Marriott property ever.
Currently I’m getting the email run around from an assistant front desk manager very discouraging and I’m considering going back to Hilton.
The hotel is nice but needs refurbishing. There is a smell of humidity that actually impacted my quality of sleep. The buffet is nice and the staff beyond helpful and serviceable.
The humidity - and the smell in the room.
Having stopped in many luxury hotels around the world I can say without any fear of contradiction this is not one of them. In terms of a European rating I would say it’s a 3 star. The bedroom furniture is old and dated, quilt dirty, shower and bathroom is nice but leeks all over the floor. The staff at the hotel try but some need extra training, especially those at the pool bar - all alcohol and food is priced without VAT and they attempt to then put a 5% surcharged on everything. Including items such as a cup of tea. I ordered a local wine which was approximately £8 in UK prices (1050 rupees) - the wine was not great, to add insult to injury they then add tax and service charges, a glass of poor quality red and white (approx 150ml each) set me back £26 (3420 rupees). The whole experience leaves you feeling ripped off. Some people close to me ordered 3 GT’s and with the ITC hotels magic the bill came in at £57. A bottle of Hardys which is imported from Australia and costs £8.50 in the UK was on the menu at £58, obviously this is without tax’s etc. The same charging relates to all food and drinks, it really spoilt our stay, the easiest answer was simply not to drink and pay the rip off prices whilst I was there! If you are travelling from the UK avoid this hotel and seek out better alternatives.
Very good sunday brunch on mother's day
It was a super Mother’s Day experience for my Mom.
Despite the fact that she was unable to walk and had to be in the wheelchair she had a fabulous day of celebration.
A huge shout out and congratulations to the team at Pavilion.
Thank you!
And carry on the great job :)
Great hospitality, delicious food - come here always for Kakori and the Chops always. Special thanks to Mr. Pradeep , Ms. Aanchal and the entire team for the hospitality!
Stayed here for 1 night for a stop in Delhi. The property is very royal - the lobby, the restaurants, the interior - all top notch.
Rooms are great as well, slightly overpriced though.
## The Best Part ##
1. Food Service
All areas including in-room, breakfast buffet and restaurants.
They were extremely cooperative and adjusting to our food requirements, specially with compliementary baby food for our 3 year toddler.
Thanks to the IRD operators on the 1st - 2nd May, 2026 for being very helpful.
Special shoutout to Janak and Jithin for making our breakfast experience ever so wonderful.
2. Housekeeping services
Very prompt and never say no attitude.
## What could be improved ##
Being a business hotel, there are absolutely no recreation areas. Since this hotel also hosts weddings and other events, people tend to travel with kids.
I think in such a huge property, the management can easily carve out a small kids play zone or soft zone and recreation center for families to relax.
Swimming pool area seemed average and the kids pool seemed quite dirty.
## The Worst part ##
The reason for this review being 1-star less than 5-star is because of the indifferent attitude of "Nim" from the front desk.
Because of our delay in flight, I walked down to the front desk reception and requested for a 2 hour late checkout, a very basic reasonable demand, common 5-star properties and clearly called out in their policies as well, which is present in the room.
This lady clearly denied stating that the property is overbooked, without even checking. I requested her to check as I was travelling with a baby, but she stood there with a poker face - Straight No.
Fact Check: Their website and MakeMyTrip showed at least 20+ rooms available for me to book.
Ultimately, we reached out to someone else and they helped us with the late checkout.
Hope Ms. "Nim" gets to know that we did check out late on the 2nd of May, thanks to your helpful colleagues and I hope you develop empathy and learn guest relations skills.
