Not a lot we liked
Checkin we sat for 1hr waiting as she said room wasn’t ready. Children allowed to run around yelling and screaming, no staff asked them to behave. Children running up and down hallways yelling. Elevator floors very slippery as guests were going in wet from the pool. We checked out 2 days early and went elsewhere.
I would come back. Loved the property and the golf course
The caddies were not very good. I golf a lot and they just were not well trained. It was cart path only and they didnt know where the golf ball was located. Didnt offer to clean the ball on the green The staff in general were nice but seemed confused. They didnt know how to chage drinks at the pool to my room, they did figure it out.

Don't know where to start. The stay was marvellous. Both sides (golf view and bay view rooms) provide amazing eye-catching views. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, feels like proper 5 star. Even though the hotel was damaged by the typhoon last year, the facilities are still great. The swimming pool is next level with the best view on the bay you can get in Ha Long. The restaurants cook decent food (there are two within the facilities) and the breakfast is quite nice!
The coffee (breakfast) was subpar. Honestly, didn't expect that in a coffee country like Vietnam. Not all the facilities are available due to the typhoon, but they are being fixed. The roofs of some villas are still damaged, which can distort the beauty, but it is fine.

This is our 4th visit to FLC. The pool is excellent, the suite is spacious and Daniel who works in the restaurant is excellent. The food in the restaurant is lovely, especially the Indian food.
- The chipped tables and floors in the suite should be replaced. Please vacuum the carpet outside the rooms as they are covered in hair.
- Toilet paper, water bottles and sugar need to be replaced more vigilantly.
- Some of our party could not pay with the credit card they used on Booking.com. This is a concern and should not just be “a booking.com problem”.
- Also, reception didn’t let us part-pay the mini bar and restaurant charges with the refunded deposit (as I always do in hotels around the world). The mini bar, deposit and restaurant charges seem to be treated as separate, which continues to be an inconvenience.
If you want to be a true 5 star resort, you need an ATM on site.
Phòng ốc sofa cũ ko sạch, phòng vs thiết bị cũ, nền gạch ẩm thấp, ko có hút thông gió, nước chỗ tắm chảy qua chỗ vs ẩm ướt ko sạch, may còn có chút view toàn thành phố và vịnh(ngoài những villa chưa hoàn thiện và bị tốc ngói..)

The cleanliness overall is good, room is decent. Facility is good.
1) When I first arrived at the hotel, I carried 1 suitcase and a backpack but absolutely 0 staff offered help. 2 receptionists were standing at the door and they immediately looked away when they saw me.
2) When I checked out, I got asked if I used a beer and water in the refrigerator, which I definitely did not. When I said No, they took a picture of the fridge as a proof, and kept asking question. They even asked me if 'my family' used the beer or not, which is impossible and so funny because I was the only one checked in and stayed in that room, so the hotel doesnt even know how many people staying in the room? In the end, even though I did not get charged for the thing I did not use, the staff did not apologize or anything? So it meant that the manager/staff do not even know what they put in the fridge when setting up the room before I arrive and this was a Grand suite. Never meet any situation like this when staying at any 5-stars hotel before. Very disappointed.
