Great Experience
Pros:

The staff at this Sheraton is top notch. From the front desk, to the housekeeping, to the bar staff. Every interaction was friendly and positive. HUGE thanks to Flo, Rey, Makayla and manager Jonathan at the bar who organized and ran an incredibly fun game for our group and whatever random strangers we roped into playing with us. We can't wait to come back next year.

Sheraton University City | Lobby Bar
Pros:

I discovered a true gem in this hotel's lobby bar during a business trip to the University of Pennsylvania for faculty work. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed like family, turning what could have been just another evening on the road into one of the highlights of my stay.

The space itself is absolutely beautiful—stylish, comfortable, and filled with positive energy that makes you want to linger. The craft cocktails are exceptional, thoughtfully prepared with high-quality ingredients and creativity. Every drink was perfectly balanced and consistently impressive.

What truly sets this place apart, though, is the people. Flo and Rey, the bartenders, provide service that goes far beyond expectations. They are warm, personable, attentive, and genuinely enjoy making every guest feel special. Jonathan, the manager, leads by example, creating an atmosphere of hospitality that is rare to find. Together, they deliver over-the-top service that is authentic, welcoming, and memorable.

When you're traveling frequently for work, finding a place where you're greeted by name, remembered, and made to feel at home is priceless. This lobby bar accomplished exactly that. Whether you're staying at the hotel or simply looking for outstanding craft cocktails and exceptional hospitality, I can't recommend it highly enough. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to Philadelphia!

Excellent Sheraton Club Morning & Service by Natalie and Valeria
Pros:

I wanted to call out Natalie and Valeria for their top-tier service in the Sheraton Club. Having spent a week at the University City Hotel I got to see these two outstanding employees individually attend to the Club's full range of guest services in both the morning and evening. Each was attuned to whomever and whatever needed attention. Both displayed a continuously positive and helpful presence for all their guests. These two bright, charming and highly effective & efficient representatives of Sheraton helped make my Philadelphia stay more pleasant and relaxing than it might have otherwise been. They have my compliments for their excellent service and friendly smiles.

Exceptional Service and True Hospitality at Sheraton Philadelphia University City!
Pros:

Having experienced global hospitality as a Marriott Titanium Lifetime Elite member, I am thrilled to say that the Sheraton University City exceeded expectations and reminded me why I choose this brand.

Amirah was the absolute highlight of my arrival. Even during a late-night check-in at the very end of her shift, her professionalism, genuine smile, and attention to detail were flawless.
The entire team here is stellar—Ty and Johnathan provided incredibly warm welcomes that made me feel valued from day one. Kudos to the management for fostering such a dedicated, guest-centric team!

My Husband Already Reviewed This Hotel — It Deserves Two
Pros:

My husband already left a review of the Sheraton Philadelphia University City, but our experience was so wonderful that this hotel deserves to hear it twice.
We stayed here for several weeks while our son was undergoing a very serious procedure at CHOP, which is one of the most stressful things a family can go through. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us with extraordinary kindness and care. They set us up in an ADA-accessible room without any hassle, and every interaction throughout our stay was warm and genuinely compassionate — especially toward our son.
Jonathan and Nezha stood out in particular. They looked after our family like we were their own, and I will never forget how much easier they made those several weeks away from home.
Olena on the housekeeping staff also deserves a special shout-out. She was so sweet and kind to our son, and she kept our room in amazing condition throughout a very tough time. Little things like that mean everything when you're living out of a hotel for weeks.
If your family is traveling to Philadelphia for care at CHOP or the nearby hospitals, STAY HERE. You'll be in AMAZING hands.

Exceptional Kindness When It Mattered Most
Pros:

100 stars. We had an amazing stay at the Sheraton Philadelphia University City. We were in town because my five year old son was undergoing a very serious procedure at CHOP, and the staff could not have been more accommodating. They provided us with an ADA-accessible room and were incredibly kind to my family (and to my son in particular) throughout our entire stay.
Jonathan and Nezha deserve special recognition; they were an absolute pleasure to deal with and went out of their way to make a very stressful time easier for us. When you're staying somewhere under difficult circumstances, genuine warmth from the staff makes all the difference, and this entire team delivered it every day. The room was also beautiful and well updated. I can't recommend this hotel enough, especially for families visiting CHOP or the University City medical centers.
