Offer some incentives to make me wanna come back this hotel was just ok in my opinion food was ok nothing to write home

The fact that it didn’t have a microwave or refrigerator and as much as it costs to stay there breakfast wasn’t free

2 rooms - clean, comfy, good price
Pros:

Beautiful view of the lake, short distance to my daughters house, decent priced menu, ease if valet parking

Cons:

My shower handle fell off, the water got super hot but i was able to jump out and turn it off. Was surprised not to have qtips, cotton balls, toothbrush in the bathroom

Wasn’t the room I booked. Moved to another room. Still wasn’t correct. Then it was a lower quality room. No microwave. No refrigerator. Ac barely worked. Blew heat and ac at the same time.

Marriott should be ashamed of this offering
Pros:

Only 2 Stars due to:

1) convenience to nearby I 10
2) efficient valet

…….otherwise our experience in this Marriott was pretty poor.

We only had an overnight stay in order to break our trip from Houston to Jekyll Island - in the respect it was perfect. The room was clean and it had an elevated view of Lake Pontchartrain.

The downsides were:

* No trolleys at all for luggage - both inward and outward

* Incompetent receptionist - we had booked for M-Club but she failed to code our room keys for access

* overall the hotel is pretty dilapidated - eg corridor carpets with long-rips taped together; battered furniture in room; needs a good makeover or revamp

* M-Club coffee stone cold and tables dirty

* Bar very unwelcoming and poor ambience

Cannot possibly recommend this establishment

Pros:

Convenient location for where I needed to be, nice for the most part, nice view of the city in the distance

Cons:

Parking is weird, no microwave and no fridge makes for an inconvenience when you have meds and such that need to be refrigerated. Also tv and stand should be on the wall not blocking the window view.

This place is amazing. Not too far from the French Quarter, but is quiet and out of the way so you dont have to be in the middle of things.

Pros:

Our room had a wonderful view of lake Ponchatrain. Waking up from a nap seeing the sail boats was beautiful. The location is great lots of food and gas stations close by.

Cons:

I needed to check in very early and tried to contact the hotel many times to never get an answer. I had booked a king suit with a pull out sofa and upon arrival I was told they only had two double beds available. My husband is 6'4 and didn't sleep well at all. There isn't any free parking, I had to pay each time I left the property. No option for 12 or 24hr pass. By the end of our one night say I spent $35 on parking alone. Though it said breakfast included it was not. Way over priced for the quality of what was served. . .

This hotel needs an overhaul now!!
Pros:

What in the world is happening Marriott??? The standard and quality of this hotel is horrible, pitiful, disgraceful when customers are paying to stay here.
Stayed here this past weekend during a volleyball tournament without the option to book elsewhere and I so angry and disappointed that our club booked us here.
Downstairs lobby presents and upscale hotel but as soon as your exit the elevator omg, you enter another world. A sad world.
Old, outdated, low quality furnishings, stained carpet, refrigerator that sits on the floor, old dented boxsprings, worn pillows, hard towels, the list goes on. Never again!

Pros:

The rooms are old not on purpose. They are dingy. The outside looked great but once you leave the lobby its like the motel 6.

Good hotel at a fair price
Pros:

Rooms are equipped with refrigerator and microwave. We had a corner toom so its quite spacious. Marriott rewards members get free breakfast and upgrades. The breakfast room was nice. The breakfast is okay. More variety would be nice and it closes ar 9 am which is early. 10 am would be better. Hotel is clean and nicely renovated. The front desk staff are OK. Has one very nice front desk worker Shiao Yu. Overall was a good experience.
