Large clean room but
I couldn’t rest due to a continuous noise from a mechanical room and an ice machine.
Breakfast is not free, they have a buffet you would pay. The pool area was small but well kept. the fitness room was nice. the staff is very nice.
the bed was very uncomfortable. the rooms could have been less squished together, hardly any room between wall and bed. Could offer continental breakfast.

Bed was uncomfortable and very worn. Mattress have two huge body impressions and a/c wasnt very efficient and didnt cool very good

Loved location. Walking distance to shopping center. Staff nice. Was very accommodating when needed to stay and extra night.
Bathroom fixtures outdated. Bathroom could use a deep clean to remove mold and dirt from grout. I could see dust under the bed where vacuum did not reach. No free breakfast. Bed was ok. No microwave.
Loved the handicap accessible shower-husband wanted to take it home. Housekeeping kept us in enough towels & washcloths. Room was quiet. Bed was good.
Breakfast is a buffet you pay for...Just wanted a pc of toast and coffee... fridge did not have freezer compartment to refreeze our freezer paks.
We didn't eat breakfast at the facility.
The air conditioner would click on and off during the night interrupting sleep.

Again, let me say that I am not convinced that reviews actually affect change. When someone brings up a troubling aspect of their stay, the manager apologizes in a form letter and that's pretty much it. But for the sake of other travelers, here's a glimpse of my experience at the Doubletree by Hilton at Park Place in St Louis Park, Minnesota. When I arrived by car, I found detritus all over the parking lot: from empty plastic liquor bottles, to clothing, to sacks from fast food joints. What a welcome! Let me say that Marcus at reception was a bright light as he could answer every question I had, was friendly, and was prompt in getting me a room. This was in contrast to a much younger receptionist who, surprisingly, could not answer half my questions. You'd think a receptionist would know if there is room service: yes? As I approached my room, I found used, yucky tissues on the floor and a hotel shampoo bottle outside the room's door on the floor. There was no liner for the ice bucket so I used an extra plastic bag of my own. The lamp shade was ripped and the water sprinkler rusted. I wondered if it would work. I was puzzled by the fact that though there is a restaurant - well really a pub - on site, its lights were so low that I couldn't tell if it was open. I had to walk in to see that someone was sitting at a table and that there was a bartender/waiter. But if you read about the "restaurant" online you'd think you were walking into a high end establishment. Well, not the case. If a manager or owner cannot take care of their parking space and pick up the detritus in the hallway, one begins to wonder how clean the swimming pool actually is. Perhaps he owners of the hotel simply view it as a revenue stream and don't care much about its upkeep - because, as others have noted, this is a tired establishment in need of a major overhaul.
