Overall this day was pleasant and enjoyable.
Pros:

The staff were all very good. However, one staff member did not know how to service the room. We didn't have toilet paper. The room wasn't vacuumed, and the place was very quickly serviced because we were in there, but I think she was a trainee. However, we did have one exceptional person who did service the room extremely well. His name was Helan Nagahagedora, and he was exceptional in his manner and in the cleanliness of the room.

Cons:

Service in restaurant number 8 could have been better in the morning because my wife found a whole lot of kiwi fruit that had mould on it in one morning session and she had to tell the staff. The other side of the coin was that the staff, when advised, on helping out with obtaining any special menus, were actually great, so that was one slip-up. One thing we noticed is that they do need to keep an eye on the quality of the food coming out because I eat salmon on a regular basis, and I was a bit suspicious of that too and ended up having diarrhea as well. I would just keep an eye on the quality of the food and have someone to keep inspecting it and to make sure it's correct.

Comfort in the city
Pros:

The bed was super comfortable. Breakfast buffet was good though felt a little overpriced at $45 per person. The little extra treats in the room that came free were good and the staff were super helpful and friendly.

Cons:

We thought we had paid for a view of the sky tower. The room we were in we could only get it on a certain angle and our room looked into offices opposite us which felt a little intrusive with the bath meaning to have a view.

Pros:

Welcome package to celebrate 39th wedding anniversary was much appreciated. Lovely room in Pinnacle Tower with good views. Very comfy bed and excellant buffet breakfast

Cons:

The adults only time in the pool could be a bit longer as there were a lot of kids in the pool. Appreciate the hotel is a family focused one and needs accommodate both family and couple stays.

Clean, modern and felt like luxury for what I pad - loved it.
Pros:

The room was modern and clean and the extra snacks were yummy! The bathroom was huge and so lovely to have a nice bath in there.

Eloquent, with a true consideration for the guests.
Pros:

We really appreciated the snacks provided in the room at no extra cost.
We also really appreciated being able to check in earlier (understand that this is subject to availability but appreciated nevertheless).

The room was very well appointed, for the price It well surpassed my expectations.

I can confirm, with confidence that the Cordis, will be where I book for every overnight trip I make up to Auckland moving forward.

Cons:

Nothing, I would have liked to be higher up, we were only on the fourth floor, but again, I guess this is just a luck of the draw.

Felt safe & looked after
Pros:

I had trouble with the electrical of the room & they helped me with getting a charger, as I was stressed because I wasn’t aware that my booking didn’t include the chargeback .

Manager was able to help me & provide room service for my daughter & concierge was incredibly helpful aswell.

Appreciated the free kids ice cream that comes with the booking!

Plus the pool area was great too!
